  • Pía Ramírez

I have just tried it and I have to decide: do I keep it or not? At first it smells of lemon to the max, but then the coconut enters and there is still lemon on top. It reminds me of lemon pie, rich and sweet, but the smell is strange; I have never felt anything like this before. I want it, but I need to smell it again to be 100% sure.

  • vickysoberano

Haha, it happens to me just like Pía’s; it must be the excitement; it smells like a soft, subtle sunscreen, reminding me of Yves Rocher’s Monoi de Tahiti, but over time the vanilla is exquisite. Definitely, it will be mine. I adore Lolita, jiji.

  • This is the one I am using right now and I would never wear it in winter. It smells rich like sun cream. At first, lots of lemon, seems fresh but not so much. The scent doesn’t last long, but within that freshness the coconut and ylang-ylang emerge. It becomes a little more intense but stays fresh because the lemon goes away when the perfume stops being so strong. After a few hours only a very soft vanilla remains which is not worth it. It is a scent for a while, for going out for a drink on a summer afternoon. It is special because it is summer made into perfume. If aquatics are the sea, this is the sand and the air charged with the scent of tanned skin under the sun.

  • Original, luminous and comfortable fragrance. The sweetness of coconut and vanilla predominates, but the lemon and some spicy notes are also very noticeable. Highly recommended.

  • A refreshing lime opening that then transforms like magic into a creamy jasmine with coconut. The ylang with myrrh peeks through in the distance, adding a touch of sophistication to the sweet, indulgent vanilla. A work of art for my nose. I had been looking for a perfume that reminded me of the natural scent of lilacs in the summer sun, and this is the closest I have found. <3

  • This is the perfume I use now. I would never wear it in winter. It smells rich like sun cream. At first, the lemon is very noticeable, seeming fresh, but not so much. Nevertheless, it is always fresh because, unfortunately, the scent doesn’t last too long. Within that freshness, the coconut and ylang-ylang begin to emerge. It becomes more intense, but remains fresh because the lemon disappears when the perfume stops being so prominent. After a few hours, only the vanilla remains, but it is so soft it is not worth it. In short, it is a scent for a while. For going out for a drink on a summer afternoon or a night with no plans. It is special, yes, because it is summer made into perfume. If aquatic scents are closest to the sea, this is closest to the sand, to the air charged with the scent of tanned skin under the sun…

  • The coconut smells so natural and creamy! It starts with a citrusy touch like sunscreen, but then it settles and leaves the coconut with vanilla and a floral hint. They say it is for summer, but it is winter and I have loved it. Its longevity is excellent, reaching 12 hours, and the trail is moderate.

  • The opening is spectacular, fresh with lemon and coconut, but this doesn’t last long, almost nothing. Then it settles and only vanilla and myrrh remain. It is rich, but at this price there are better fragrances.

  • An elegant summer fragrance. At first, with the myrrh and lemon, it seemed odd and I wasn’t keen, but I tried it again today and my opinion has changed completely. It starts with a sharp, powerful, very real lemon, as if you’ve just squeezed it. Then a lovely jasmine softens it and the coconut enters, creamy, tropical and voluptuous. At that moment, when the coconut dominates, it is my favourite. The opening is incredible, but it doesn’t last. After a while, only the coconut remains, less strident, with ylang-ylang, softer. After an hour, everything becomes very discreet and barely noticeable. The myrrh closes the show. On my skin it lasts nothing, which disappoints me; I feel it lacks strength. I was already looking forward to trying Elle L’aime for this summer, but it didn’t convince me either due to the longevity. I love the opening, but it leaves me wanting more at the end. A good Lolita Lempicka perfume, although it feels half-baked; I feel it lacks something to make it a complete hit.

  • I just got it but it hasn’t caught my attention too much, I don’t see anything special. It smells too much like coconut and cheap perfume.

  • azuriiita

An ideal fragrance for summer and seaside environments, or to feed the imagination of such scenarios. On my skin it stands out a sweet coconut (coquito or coconut kiss) that isn’t cloying (well!), the powdery sweetness of a subtle ylang-ylang note with a touch of myrrh powder, neroli and very soft vanilla. Other notes that stand out, like the lemon, go almost unnoticed on my skin. For me, it’s pretty and very pleasant, since I’m passionate about the sea, I love coconut and other ingredients; this fragrance evokes very pleasant sensations. On the other hand, it’s very feminine and delicate. Projection and trail aren’t its strengths; it functions more as an aromatic veil that melts into the skin as time goes on. Definitely not a fragrance to conquer strangers’ noses 🙂 I consider it for personal enjoyment and those closest to you. Personally, it makes me feel lovely and very comfortable… I like it.

  • azuriiita

Ideal for summer or when you feel close to the sea. On my skin it sounds like a sweet little coconut without being cloying, with a touch of ylang-ylang, myrrh, neroli and soft vanilla. The lemon goes unnoticed. It is pretty and pleasant, evoking pleasant sensations because I love the sea and coconut. It is very feminine and delicate, not having much power or trail; it works more as an aromatic veil that blends with the skin. It is not for conquering, but for personal enjoyment and with close people. It makes me feel lovely and comfortable.

  • Splendid perfume for olfactory palates that enjoy unconventional and non-commercial aromas. The coconut is felt very deeply, but it’s not a synthetic smell like hand soap or moisturiser. It’s a powdery coconut, with a spicy spark that makes it fun and cheerful. The jasmine opens delicately between the coconut and finally they make this perfume a splendid option for summer and spring, for those evening walks or afternoons shopping by the sea. It’s not a fresh perfume, but has presence without being overwhelming. Ideal if you’re looking for a youthful and cheerful scent that has character and is distinctive. Wonderful.

  • This fragrance is my first Lolita, a designer I was resisting, perhaps because notes of anise, licorice or violet aren’t my strong suit. A blind buy, as I couldn’t try it in-store and with an unusual scent, since I wanted a fragrance with a coconut smell, but not the typical summer one. The opening is rich, a mix of citrus, bergamot and lime, a fresh explosion in my nostrils. The citrus aroma doesn’t disappear but blends with the other notes. Then delicate white flowers appear, jasmine and orange blossom, along with a very creamy, somewhat oily coconut, where that bitter touch of ylang-ylang is perceived, to finish with a sweet and warm base due to the vanilla-myrh combination. It’s a sparkling, fresh and youthful fragrance, suitable for summer as well as cooler times thanks to its warm, creamy and sensual base. Its trail is soft and longevity is average, about 5 hours on me. The bottle is stunning. A wand of power that has fired my imagination. It’s a transparent cylindrical tube with golden letters that seem to emerge from a luminous trunk if you hold it against the light. On the cap there is a golden maple leaf. It’s curious that all perfumes by this designer relate to nature: apples, clover, butterfly, coral and now the trunk of a tree. The reviews saying it smelled like oil or self-tanner caught my attention. To me, it smells like aftersun, balm lotion for after a day in the sun, which calms burns. It evokes my youth, at 18, when you’d arrive at the beach on the first sunny day with pale British skin and wanted to claim it for yourself, arriving at night with a Caribbean tan. We weren’t so afraid of the rays back then, as we are now with SPF 50, and we did silly things like putting Nivea cream with Mercromin or Johnson’s baby oil on to see if we’d tan quickly. Warning, I’m not giving ideas, that’s terrible! And when we got home and showered, we were like a prawn, red and sore, and that’s when this soothing balm cream came along, which we got drunk on from head to toe. That’s what this fragrance smells like, a three-in-one: perfume, self-tanning oil and soothing protective cream. And for going out at night barely dressed in a cotton dress with thin straps, sandals, bright eyes and washed face without makeup, already sufficiently red, and with sore shoulders that if someone came close to greet you, you’d jump back four times and shout ‘don’t touch me, it burns!!!’. Them: ‘you’ve been to the beach, does it show?’. Hahaha! And then to bare skin! For those who don’t mind those painful memories, this is a perfect late summer perfume, where you take the sun with you, original, evocative and very sensual, as it smells of shiny, soft and bare skin.

  • irmapaolapj

I liked the perfume when freshly applied… but as time passed I only felt the incense… and I started to feel dizzy… I don’t know what it could be… but after a while I couldn’t stand it!! and the bottle is so lovely… it’s really sad… and it lasts an eternity on my skin…

  • Yadorán d'Vinea

Elle L’aime is a good return to the brand after my disappointment with L’eau Jolie. Offering special aromas as always. It’s a burst of summer on the beaches of Camboriú, Brazil. A simple fusion between vanilla, coconut and citrus that evokes the sea breezes of the east. A memory of the scent of sunscreen, fresh fruits and that tan line on a small child’s waist. It starts with a dominant coconut with friendly and subtle citrus, giving an essence of release, relaxation and freshness. A jasmine that went on a romantic vacation with the vanilla (and they intend to make love on the beach) accentuates the discreet sweetness and gives way to an oriental conclusion, essential in Lolita Lempicka (myrrh is the standout, so the vanilla will have a smoky touch). Elle L’aime is the quintessence of summer. The fragrance of adolescent coquetry, of suggestively licked ice lollipops, of sunscreen running down arched backs from the sensation of cold, of scented self-tanner on thighs and knees, and of course, lecherous glances towards specimens of the opposite sex (or the same? Diversity exists and I support it). It can be something ‘inappropriate’ in exaggerated proportions and a blunder in cold climates, but still, it’s a splendid perfume. With excellent resistance to heat, delicious longevity and moderate trail. It’s the ideal presentation of Lempicka for suffocating and sweaty seasons.

  • Aroma de Flor

I was given a sample and I love the sugary Lolita Lempicka style of old, with great trail and longevity. This one, however… is a soft, feminine and refreshing scent. I perceive the jasmine and coconut, very feminine and summery. Ideal for girls looking for a discreet and fresh perfume. Perfect for summer.

  • Buy blind too, in my case the eau de parfum. And I like it a lot! It is indeed a different aroma, so I wouldn’t recommend buying it without trying, even though it worked out well for me. It’s odd because the lemon is very present, but the coconut and vanilla give it so much warmth. A contradictory perfume, warm and fresh at the same time. As if the citrus and oriental parts were fighting for the spotlight all the time. It seems the notes don’t blend, but it works: it smells very good. The opening is very citrusy and you can smell the coconut, and as time passes the lemon softens (though it doesn’t disappear), the coconut intensifies and is adorned with white flowers that keep it fresh. Have I said yet that I like it? The longevity is excellent: from 7 to 19 and it’s still going. The trail is good at the start, but not brutal. I’d use it in any season except winter, but only because of the lemon (I don’t like citrus when it’s cold; I don’t know why). Oh!, the bottle is gorgeous. I’ll love to try the eau de toilette. I don’t know if they share notes and could be very different. Wish Fragrantica distinguished them for more appropriate reviews. In short, a pleasant surprise. Original, distinctive, and paradoxical perfume. And at a great price. Edit: Fragrantica now distinguishes between ‘toilette’ and ‘parfum’. The first is L L’aime, and the eau de parfum is Elle L’aime. The bottles are identical.

  • pamela perfumera

I loved it; it smells of beach and summer but isn’t that typical coconut self-tanner scent. No! It’s creamy and elegant, really surprising me. You have to give it a chance because at first, it hits you with a blast of bergamot and lime that can be a bit overwhelming, but if you wait for it to develop, you’ll realise it’s more than it seems. The coconut is a delight; I wouldn’t have imagined it mixed with jasmine. Finally, what’s left on my skin after 6 or 7 hours is the jasmine and that delicious vanilla. I recommend it if you like to be surprised by unique fragrances from Lolita Lempicka.

  • Casablanca77

Elle L’aime is for those of us who love citrus with that sweet touch of vanilla and coconut; it goes beyond the typical summer/beach vibe. Everything is meticulously crafted, nothing coarse, everything fits perfectly without clashing, giving a youthful yet elegant air. It opens with tempered bergamot and neroli, accented by a lovely lime that’s almost sweet and tart. Suddenly, a coconut note enters that isn’t sticky or cheesy (with a hint of ylang), carving its path with charisma and elegance, creating a beautiful sparkle. Then comes the vanilla with its sandalwood, adding a tropical tone without losing solidity or ending up like cheap self-tanner. It’s a sunny, consistent perfume for looking polished in the heat. The value for money is brilliant, far superior to many that cost triple. What sometimes a perfume brings with its simple execution. Thanks, Rebecavpf.

I found you on sale and at first I was grateful, but perhaps it was only the first impression. The other times I wore it, we didn’t have good chemistry; the coconut and lime disturbed me, it was the most noticeable thing. I adore the coconut note, but on you I felt it very sugary. I’m sorry, with all the Lolitas we’ve had a good relationship, but with you it wasn’t the case. You reminded me of the Escada summer ones. Despite that, you are a good fragrance with a good trail. I’m glad you did click with my mother.

  • A great discovery within Lempicka, a house that had already caught my attention but I couldn’t decide on any star. This one, although less known, has nothing to envy and, like almost all its range, has a very good price. On my skin it’s warm and enveloping, although contradictorily it could seem fresh to others. The opening is citrusy with a strong presence of lime. Then the coconut enters, juicy and elegant, nothing gourmand or cloying. Finally the vanilla and sandalwood, which give it the warm touch. Elle L’Aime is coquettish and sweet without being cloying, perfect for summer days and nights (it transports me to a sunset by the sea). It’s not a great creation, but it has its audience and for summer it’s perfect. I’ve received many compliments; even they told me I smell like lemon cake. Who doesn’t like that? Mmmmm 🙂

I’ve been looking for daily perfumes with a coconut scent; first I tried Gold Sugar and couldn’t, then I bought this. Although it wasn’t as bad as the Gold, I didn’t like it completely. I like the scent at first, but after a while it gives me nausea and I just want to take it off. I wore it to the office and spent the whole day with stomach and head discomfort. I’m clearly giving up on blind buys; I always say I won’t do it again and end up doing it anyway. I don’t know what to do with it: use it in small quantities or gift it like the Gold Sugar. I’ll think about it, but for now I haven’t dared to wear it again. It’s a tropical scent, like sunscreen; I didn’t perceive the coconut, only the citrus and something sweet.

  • Karenfiguer

I don’t know if it’s my fault or if it seems they reformulated it. The last time I used it was last winter and I finished two bottles; I loved its intense coconut scent, perfect for winter. Today I used it again (I bought a new 40ml bottle) and it was a tremendous surprise and disappointment: it didn’t smell of coconut. I only felt the citrus and after 3 hours I barely perceived any coconut. It was very sad.

  • Mineradia

On my skin, the opening smells of lime and then gives way to an intense and delicious jasmine and vanilla. Not a trace of coconut and nothing like aftersun or sunscreens. I don’t recognise it in the other reviews I’ve read. My husband finds it very sensual and it’s one of the perfumes he likes most from my collection.

  • Bettyfrag

I’m so fed up not being able to wear this perfume. Looking at the notes and reviews, I thought I’d love it and it would be one of my favourites; I adore coconut and vanilla, but the first and second time I wore it, it gave me nausea and discomfort. I don’t know which note I couldn’t stand, whether it was the combination or my pH. I had to gift it to a friend and hope it works chemically with her.

  • Manuela Monteiro

It’s very rich; I love how the coconut and lime blend. My husband says it reminds him of a holiday in Cayo Largo, Cuba, and he’s right: it smells like sunscreen, like the beach, like the sun, but it’s a delicate scent. In the end, the sandalwood comes through. Longevity on skin: 5 to 6 hours. Projection: very good for the first 3 hours and then drops. Trail: moderate. Rating: 8/10.

  • It’s the only Lempicka I own and I love it. I bought it blindly on sale because it was coconut-scented and thought it would be obvious that I’d like it. Said and done! I love its coconut scent, very subtle, nothing synthetic, sweet but not cloying. I recommend it to anyone who likes the smell of sunscreen but with a more sensual touch. The only flaw is that on me it lasts little, no more than 3 hours. Everything else is perfect.

  • Elle L’Aime doesn’t seem to be from Lolita Lempicka; it’s simpler and has fewer nuances, but I like it. The citrus only marks a quick opening, then coconut, myrrh, a bit of vanilla, and a touch of white flowers take over. With time, the myrrh gains prominence. It doesn’t smell like sunscreen or typical monoi, although they share notes. It has personality, it’s warm, summery, and ideal for sunny days. Subtle trail, nothing intrusive. 8/10 scent, 8/10 longevity, 7/10 projection, 7/10 value for money, 6/10 versatility, 9/10 packaging. Yes, I would buy it again.

  • I’m testing this in winter and from the very beginning, I detect a candied sandalwood reminiscent of Ultraviolet (which is a compliment!), blended with very soft coconut and ylang-ylang notes. For now, the sandalwood dominates, but I wore it in summer and then I felt more complexity and that ambient warmth.

  • Very rich; in my country, it’s almost autumn/winter, and it’s delicious. In summer, I think I’d wear it in the afternoon/evening for informal or romantic gatherings. Summer arrived in Argentina, and for the second time in my life, I found a perfume I would re-buy without a doubt; in fact, as I read it’s no longer made and I have half the bottle left, I’m going to buy another. Every time I use it, I fall in love more. I don’t know if it’s romantic or sexy; it’s purely for personal enjoyment. PS: I finished it on Thursday, 16/6/2022; I’ll miss it; a beautiful fragrance. Edited 27/4/2024: I found a replacement that’s almost identical, though it lasts a bit less on the skin, the Yara Tous by Lataffa.

  • giselistica

To me, it smells like entering a santería; I regularly fumigate my home, and it smells exactly like fumigating with myrrh. At first, you feel the coconut (very real, it smells like shredded coconut), but then it fades and leaves a powdery trail. It’s for winter, but I keep fumigating my house, and clothes will get the same results as this perfume… myrrh, vanilla, and green lime in that order; that’s what it smells like. High sillage, moderate winter longevity, and for night. At first, it’s very sweet, but after an hour, the sweetness mellows and leaves just the right amount of sweetness. This review is from winter or cold, humid weather. EDIT: I bought it in summer. CHANGE: with the heat, you feel the coconut, and the ylang-ylang is a creamy, intense coconut, with a sweet but not cloying woody base. Even with the bottle closed and unused, my room fills with the perfume’s scent. I don’t feel the citrus at all. The lighter, less durable version of this perfume is Hollister Wave 2; the coconut note is almost identical.

  • It’s nothing like I expected. I was hoping for something more beachy, with sweet coconut and vanilla. Well, nothing to do with it; it’s not bad, on the contrary, it’s very pleasant, but it’s not what I imagined. In its dry-down, it has the DNA of Lolita Lempicka’s mandarin. It’s rich. I would most likely have bought it. It’s a pity it’s discontinued; it’s a very different perfume from what comes out these days.

  • Tonybagrand

I gave it to my wife last summer; she loves perfumes with coconut that you can tell. It was a total failure; she didn’t like it at all, and I don’t blame myself either. Honestly, it smells like an older lady’s perfume to me; I only detect the base notes and the myrrh a lot. I’ve seen reviews saying it smells like santería, and I perceive it that way. Great longevity and sillage; it fills the room immediately, ending up like a bathroom air freshener, and luckily it ran out.

  • Elle L’aime is the least complicated and easiest to use of Lolita Lempicka. I’ve always liked well-crafted coconut, and here it is, this delight. It can be worn almost all year; it opens with a realistic, sharp lemon, as if you’ve pierced the citrus in half. This stage passes quickly, but the lemon doesn’t disappear; gradually, a finely crafted natural coconut emerges, which together with the jasmine and ylang-ylang gives it a solar and luminous scent. When it settles, the sweetness of the vanilla is perceived, which with the sandalwood and myrrh gives it a sweet, creamy, smoky, and powdery touch. It’s an essence that conveys joy, light, and sea, but it doesn’t smell like cheap sunscreen; instead, it transports you to a tropical climate with class and elegance, like luxurious holidays at a paradise island resort. Performance is moderate, lasting four or five hours depending on factors, with an intimate sillage, nothing intrusive; it envelops you, giving a certain tropical and smoky warmth.

  • Danielle_Gris

As others said, it’s unconventional. On my skin, the first thing is ylang-ylang with lemon, though it doesn’t sound green to me, but yellow. This phase lasts about two hours and then becomes creamier (I think it’s the coconut, although I don’t feel it directly). It’s sweet and at times reminds me of sunscreen. In fact, it’s a bit like Yves Rocher’s milk sunscreen or Tahiti’s Monoï lotion; they’re not the same, I’m just saying it’s that type of aroma. Projection is medium and longevity is 6 to 8 hours.

  • I love coconut notes and bought it without a doubt… I don’t know what happened, but it smells horribly like burnt coconut. I’ve tried several times to like it but nothing; it will stay at the bottom of my shelf.

  • I saw many reviews and bought it. I loved it; a well-defined citrus opening, a unique scent, very Lolita. Gradually, it transports you to the beach; the coconut is very natural, sweet in just the right measure. Longevity on me was excellent; it didn’t leave until I took a shower.

  • The most linear, simple, and cheerful in my collection; literally makes me happy to smell it. From start to finish, it smells like sunscreen, not too sweet coconut. I love it; it’s the most wearable Lolita Lempicka I know. Longevity and sillage are poor, but I reapply and become happy again, hehe. It makes me feel at the beach with the sun, even though it’s winter here; I wear it and have my feet in the sand. I love it.

  • Only the myrrh reaches me; it smells as if I lit incense at home and brought it on me. I detect absolutely no citrus or coconut, nothing. I don’t understand. In summer, I’d only wear it at night; by day, it could kill anyone who got too close. Still, I like it, but I would have loved to feel what the majority feel 🥺
