Elyssia Aura by Riiffs: A Warm and Spicy Scent for All

Elyssia Aura is Riiffs' new creation, a unisex fragrance launched in 2026. The blend is a play on contrasts: the zesty orange is met with the warmth of cinnamon and nutmeg.

At its heart, vanilla and cognac deliver a sweet, slightly alcoholic nuance, while cream and cocoa enhance the indulgence. The base, with Bourbon vanilla, patchouli and cedar, leaves a woody and earthy sillage.

Upon application, the orange sparkles with vibrancy, but the cinnamon and nutmeg soon soften the effect, resulting in a spicy and reassuring opening. The scent is not sharp; instead, it unfolds with a certain smoothness.

In the heart, vanilla intertwines with cognac, presenting a sugary and faintly boozy facet that evokes an elegant dessert. The cream and cocoa contribute a velvety, gourmand texture, making the fragrance a joy to wear.

The base serves as the anchor: Bourbon vanilla pairs with patchouli and cedar to create a woody, earthy trail that lends depth and staying power. This juxtaposition of sweet and woody is what gives Elyssia Aura its character.

As for performance, the projection is moderate, and the endurance spans several hours, adequate for a full day or an evening out without being overpowering. It is a versatile perfume that suits cool or mild weather well.

Elyssia Aura appeals to those who appreciate enveloping scents with a strong identity. Its unisex nature makes it fitting for both men and women who desire a distinctive signature without going overboard. A compelling choice for autumn and winter.

This perfume suits those who appreciate an enveloping and refined aroma, perfect for the colder months and evening wear.

All in all, Elyssia Aura is a harmonious composition that marries sweetness and spice with a woody foundation. Scoring 3.72 out of 5, it appeals to many without being groundbreaking. Ideal for fans of gourmand scents with a distinctive edge.

At the start it smells of orange and cinnamon (like the smell of Coca-Cola sweets), a smell that I personally don’t like. But fortunately it doesn’t last long, then comes a smell of whipped cream, vanilla, and a slight alcoholic touch that’s quite bearable. The cocoa and patchouli here become similar, with patchouli being quite noticeable in the drydown. If you don’t like patchouli, you don’t have to worry, it’s a subtle chocolatey-earthy touch. It’s a fairly refined scent, more for occasional use than daily use.
