Beautiful and elegant, opening with a potent patchouli blended with citrus. It then evolves into a warm amber base that projects well and lasts for a very long time on the skin.

Miss Dior Le Parfum is love, elegance, and femininity. Rose and patchouli create a seductive and sophisticated effect; a sublime complexity. Fresh citrus over an enveloping patchouli, with a heart of absolute rose, resins, and balms. It is a symphony of caramelised rose and patchouli with amber, creating a warm and sensual atmosphere. Truly unique in the collection. On my skin, it lasts more than 10 hours with high to moderate sillage. A discontinued gem, ideal if you are passionate about amber. My 40 ml bottle, batch 2R02 from April 2012, is over 10 years old and still smells wonderful.

When the Miss Dior EDP 2012 becomes too sweet and cloying for you, this is the answer. I bought it blind after reading reviews, and what a beauty. It is the most adult of the current versions (excluding the green/aldehydic remakes). The pity is that the rose fades quickly and then the amber takes over.

When you grow up and the Miss Dior EDP 2012 runs out and becomes too sweet and cloying… you find this. I bought it blindly after hours of reading reviews… oh my god, what a beauty. It’s the most adult of the current Miss Diors (not counting the green-aldehydic ‘original’ remakes). The pity is that the rose lasts so little and soon the amber dominates.

Very long-lasting, a marvel of well-scented roses. Worth every penny.

Definitely, I am not a great fan of ambers and this… is no exception, but I recognise it is very elegant and sophisticated. As they say here, it makes you look dressed. It does not have outstanding longevity or sillage, but it is noticeable, and that final amber trail lingers on the skin for about 8 hours. I do not detect notes in depth (only the amber throughout the development). Overall it is good, but I would not buy it again, although I understand it has followers and is discontinued. A true Miss Dior. The first three seconds remind me a lot of Miss Dior Toilette from 2007.

I like it. Opens with an orange-rose note, slightly overwhelming and intrusive, giving way to a nice rose-amber-vanilla blend. As it develops, the rose lowers and a generous patchouli rises, with a fruity strawberry touch at times. It finishes with amber and patchouli. It is sweet, warm, intense, elegant, and feminine. I have liked it. The opening might be the least attractive phase, while the heart is the most interesting. Nuclear performance, not very versatile, suitable for autumn, winter, and evening. Very long-lasting longevity, heavy sillage.

I like it. It starts orange-pink, a bit overwhelming and intrusive, giving way to a nice pink-amber-vanilla combination. During the development, the rose lowers and a generous patchouli rises. It has a strawberry fruity touch at times. It ends with amber and patchouli. It’s a sweet, warm, intense, elegant and feminine fragrance. The truth is, I’ve liked it. The opening might be the least attractive phase. The middle phase is the most interesting. Nuclear performance. Not very versatile. For autumn and winter. For night. Very long-lasting longevity. Heavy trail.

  9. A strong, full-bodied perfume, elegant and long-lasting, well-formulated and balanced. It opens with sweet mandarin, followed by roses, and the patchouli concentrates, highlighting the amber note throughout. It improved upon its predecessor by removing the popcorn note; the previous one did not suit me as it was too dry. Was it necessary to discontinue it?

To me, this perfume is all about roses and patchouli. I do not feel the other notes; on my skin, only these two stand out and I adore them. I bought several refill bottles because I was afraid it would disappear, as it is not common to find it. It is elegant and sophisticated, like the ones from before that are now made special. I think it is not in fashion; it is timeless in the good sense. There is too much patchouli, so I do not recommend it if you do not like that note. The roses make it special; it is one of the best I have with that note. It lasts all day; in fact, it is one of the longest-lasting Dior fragrances. I wear it with elegant clothing on cold days. The scent and bottle are super elegant. I bought it blind after a friend insisted I should not miss it; it was truly a great discovery that I hope to keep in my collection.

For me, this perfume is Rose and Patchouli. I don’t feel the other notes; on my skin only those two stand out and I adore it. I bought several bottles and spares because I was afraid it would disappear, as it’s not common to find it in perfumeries. It’s an elegant, sophisticated perfume, like those of before that make today’s special. I think it’s not in fashion; it’s timeless in the good sense. There’s too much patchouli, so I don’t recommend it to those who don’t like the note. The roses make it special and it’s one of the best I have with that note. It lasts all day; in fact, it’s one of the longest-lasting from the Dior house. I like to wear it with elegant clothes and on cold days. The aroma and bottle are super elegant. I bought it blindly due to a friend’s insistence that I shouldn’t miss it; it really was a great discovery that I hope to always have in my collection.

The opening is a little strong; you need to have patience with it. Apart from whether we like it or not, or whether it is sensual, fine, and very elegant, it is lamentable that some reviews still refer to it as having an “old lady” smell. To criticise a perfume we do not like, it is not necessary to be disrespectful and hurt other people.

  13. Areida Eau

In my opinion, this perfume had everything to enchant: the bottle, the colour, the advertising, the typography, EVERYTHING. The problem is… it does not enchant me. It is a good generic and elegant perfume, but in that category, Elie Saab Parfume could be more standout. It is like very good-looking but hollow people; in short, it is a good perfume, much like French culture with its clichéd evocation of the aesthetic; that is this perfume. It is not complicated, it is minimal, talc-like, clean, tender, elegant, it does not fail… well, possibly in summer because it is a bit heavy for warm climates. Overall, it is a very beautiful and collectible scent considering that Dior compulsively reformulates many of its valuable creations. All the notes are wrapped in a talc-like soap created by the roses and amber, so the base notes always accompany the opening notes like the orange. The roses are perceptible but in a complicated way, evoking ethereal and neat femininity. More than defined notes, it evokes experiences: a day in the quiet, luxurious neighbourhood of a city, a house surrounded by finely selected flowers that permeate the air with a subtle scent, all in that light and spotless place. A woman in a pale pink tulle dress, perfectly coiffed, with barely noticeable makeup, light, serious, beautiful, and dreamy as few; on her table are all kinds of powdered sugar desserts and pink macarons.

  14. I wear it every day; it’s my faithful constant. Miss Dior Cherie is my absolute favourite, but sadly I can’t find it here in Argentina anymore. Cherie is magical—I hope it returns! I’m dying to get my hands on it again!

  15. I absolutely loved it. I bought it without testing, trusting only the reviews, and I was spot on. It’s very romantic, yet elegant and feminine, ideal for a lady. The quality is excellent, though the trail is moderate. I feel it suits women of a certain age, although at 20, I liked it too. I’m trying other things now, but I’ll definitely come back for this jewel one day. Perfect for the office and for all year round.

  16. Both previous reviews by Denise and ArantxA87 were precise and I agreed with both; I loved them. Here is my contribution: I’ve always wanted to own a Miss Dior, but none won me over. At Fragancia Aprendemos we learn every day; sometimes we know if we’ll like it by the notes, even if we get it wrong. A few days ago I went to a store and took the last bottle without a tester; I risked it because it’s expensive, but with the good news that I could return it if I didn’t like it. Upon opening the box and seeing that liquid gold (as Denise described), I thought it was horrible, smelling of old perfume, and said: ‘They’ve tricked me!’. The perfume was old, strong and stale. I was so disappointed that, driving with the radio on, I forgot about it. But when I got home, I sensed a creamy, feminine, sensual and floral scent that seduced me. It couldn’t be, I opened the bottle again and put it on another part of my body; the same happened: smell of old perfume and disappointment. I thought I’d wait and see if it was you, and yes, it was. This perfume should be called Lady Dior Vintage, for it is divine but a mature and sensual scent, as if you were in another era, for a Lady, not a Miss (in my opinion). It can’t be misinterpreted by the opening; it requires patience to reach the best, its dry-down. It is undoubtedly the best I’ve heard from Dior, without taking away merit from their other victories. It smells of love (as ArantxA87 said), it’s a delightful surprise, necessary for lovers of cypress like me. God willing, they won’t stop making it.

  17. The reviews by Denise and ArantxA87 were spot on, and I agreed with both. I’ve always wanted a Miss Dior, but none had won me over until now. At Fragancia Aprendemos we learn every day: sometimes we judge by the notes without smelling it and get it wrong. One day I went to a store, there was no tester, so I risked it with the last bottle at a high price, but with the option to return it. Upon opening, the golden liquid smelled horrible—stale, like old perfume. I was disappointed! I used it in the car and forgot about it. When I got home, the scent had changed: creamy, feminine, sensual and floral, seducing me. I smelled it again and the strong scent returned. I thought it was a different bottle, but it was the same. This perfume should be called Lady Dior Vintage: it’s divine, mature, sensual, like from another era, for a lady, not a young miss. It can’t be misinterpreted; it requires patience to enjoy its dry-down. It’s the best I’ve smelled from Dior, it smells of love, and it’s a delightful surprise for lovers of cypress. It’s a must-have in any collection. God willing, they won’t stop making it!

“Make a perfume that smells of love” was the idea of the French maison, and they achieved it. It’s sweet, but not cloying or easy. It has personality and character; it’s feminine, well-cared-for, classic but not old-fashioned, coquettish, romantic, French… It seems intoxicating, perfect for dinner or special occasions. The quality is exquisite, with impressive evolution, fixation and longevity. It accompanies us for hours, being the perfect complement that you feel but don’t see. I recommend it 100%; it’s a marvel.

Let me clarify that it’s one of my favourites. On my skin, it starts a bit sharp due to the orange, but in 10 minutes it transforms into a velvety sweetness, amber-pink, nothing cloying. Almost at the base, the rose and amber remain, and the patchouli appears, balancing the sweetness so it doesn’t become cloying. As it’s a parfum, this stage lasts hours and is my favourite. It stays velvety until the end. It gives me a sense of warmth and security. Some women my age say it smells ‘old’, but I think it’s because of its elegance and classicism; they only smell the top notes with the orange, which can feel dated. It’s quite strong, but in moderate doses it’s not annoying (be careful when applying!). I use it for special occasions or cool nights; forbidden in summer. It differs from current sweet scents that feel adolescent or summery. This is for people aged 20 to 70; my grandmother and I adore it. It’s absolutely classic. I recommend it to those who like sweet and strong fragrances. If you prefer fresh fruity scents, it’s not for you. You need to love amber, rose and patchouli. Some compare it to Coco Mademoiselle, but for me, they are different. It reminds me of Amarige Mariage and its potency to La Vie est Belle. I haven’t heard of Miss Dior Cherie, but I know some feel it’s similar, being this one less fruity and more elegant. When I wear it, I feel like I’m dressing up. It’s very well made and excellent. In short, it’s not for everyone, but for me, it’s a delight. Liquid gold!
