  Stronger With You Sandalwood is woody, spicy, and balsamic. The opening has the line’s DNA with a chestnut aroma, slightly spicy, and a subtle touch of vanilla. A few minutes later, the sandalwood is noticeable, but its arrival in the forefront is slow; for a long time, the chestnut dominates. After two hours, the sandalwood along with a balsamic accord become the protagonists until the end. Suitable for autumn, winter, and fresh spring days, from casual to formal use or night outings. Longevity was good, lasting nearly ten hours, with a noticeable trail during the first two or three hours before it retreats a bit. I like it more in its dry-down phase when the sandalwood stands out; the problem is that it takes time to get there. An advantage is that it doesn’t have the sweetness of others in the line like Intensely, so it might be less attractive to those who love those sweeter versions.

  To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of the Stronger With You line because they are too sweet and heavy, but this sandalwood flanker is a dream. At first, it smells like one of the most realistic leathers I’ve ever heard: like new shoes, belts, or leather handbags, vanilla-scented and softly smoky. After ten minutes, the sweet and caramelised SWY DNA appears, but with smoky, aromatic, freshly cut little sticks of wood, like those used for smoking meat. It is these hot, smoky sandalwood sticks that permeate everything, making it sublime and sophisticated. As it dries, the sandalwood becomes creamy, refined, and slightly dry, like a cedar board spread with coconut cream, and lasts up to eight hours on skin or days on clothes. It’s relaxing and evokes contrasting images: a man in a modern patio by the sea, sitting on the sand with a leather jacket in autumn, gathering wet wood for a bonfire while watching the sunset. I’ll use it for Christmas and Valentine’s Day; it’s warm, woody, smoky, and sensual. It exceeded my expectations.

  Undoubtedly a masterpiece. I barely heard it in a shop and knew it was for me; I had never had my eyes opened to smelling a perfume like this. Armani surprises us with a flanker that follows the SWY DNA but adds a woody touch: formal, sweet, dark, and refined. Perfect for special occasions or as a signature scent if you love it. If you want something similar, smell a piece of bamboo with a hint of pink pepper; it literally smells like that, slightly smoky, as if you were leaning in towards a bonfire. My favourite fragrance so far.

  I bought it blind and it was a total hit. I applied it in the morning and it still has incredible longevity by evening. The sweet sandalwood is the star note; sometimes it smells like iris makeup, but then it transforms into that sandalwood that accompanies the entire evolution of the fragrance. It’s a great example of how designer perfumes can offer longevity and a nuclear sillage. It’s elegant, perfect for events, important meetings, or dinners. Don’t wear it in very hot climates or at the beach, it can be overwhelming. A very good perfume!

  Very strong SWY opening, reminiscent of Rosendo Mateu 5 or Ish Al Shuyukh Gold, with a quick dry-down into an incredibly rich sandalwood, similar to Santal Redden by Alvarez Gomez. Lasts about four hours, just right. If it lasted longer, it would be spectacular.

  Brilliant! My favourite right now. This SWY becomes much creamier thanks to the vanilla and sandalwood. In fact, someone told me it smelled like ‘huggable marshmallow’ and they were spot on.

  Masterpiece! A creamy, rich sandalwood with a Stronger With You dry-down. Lasts incredibly long on skin. It didn’t project much for me personally, but I certainly smelled it on my skin at the six-hour mark, so perhaps it was just olfactory fatigue.
