  • Fantastic perfume from Emporio Armani, for me the best of the Stronger With You saga. That combination of chestnut and leather is sublime, and a beast mode like the others has got us used to it (not counting the Freeze). Can’t wait to try the new Absolutely.

  • A real stunner from the Emporio Armani range; for me, this is the best of the Stronger With You collection. That roasted chestnut paired with leather is sublime, and as we’ve come to expect from a beast mode like Stronger (not to mention Freeze), it delivers. I’m already dying to try the new Absolutely.

  • GammaPerfumería

Well, I expected something killer, however, I find it redundant with the Intensely and the original; it smells of candied chestnuts and a little leather.

  • GammaPerfumería

Well, I was expecting something ‘killer’, yet I find it redundant compared to Intensely and the original. It smells of candied chestnuts with a hint of leather.

  • 50% Stronger Intensely, 35% Stronger Absolutely (chestnut note) and 15% leather. This is how you summarise this Leather: a missing link between the two previous ones, with certain maturity without leaving the gourmand, but insufficient to compete with the beasts of Arab perfumery, not even against Lattafa. In Europe it would have good hype, but I doubt it will sell much in Arabia. The performance is the same as Absolutely.

I like it and I think it was a marketing mistake to leave this only for the Arab market; in Europe it could have great acceptance. It’s a classic that is liked immediately, although it has to compete with beasts like Lattafa or Ard al Zaafaran. The advantage is that it’s Armani, a well-known brand. It changes the cinnamon, vanilla and chestnut scheme with a slightly rough leather at first, but quickly softened by vanilla and woods. It’s a dark, tasty and sombre cake, with character and hard to find. It has reminiscences of my 24 Gold, but with a slightly sweaty and animalic vanilla leather. I like powerful and resinous leather from the start. The performance is notable, with a more mature vibe, but the price is high and it’s difficult to get hold of.

  • This is my first review and I chose this perfume at random. The Stronger saga has something addictive that takes me out of my comfort zone, even though I’m not a fan of gourmands. This line is sweet and striking but not cloying. The Leather follows the trail of oud, although I think the excess of medicinal notes doesn’t justify the price or the exclusivity for the Middle East. It’s redundant: it’s a Stronger with a persistent leather touch, but not enough to surpass the Intense, which I consider more interesting.

I feel compelled to disagree with everyone, but it’s the same formula as Givenchy’s Gentleman Reserve Privé. The opening is different because you can smell the leather, but in the end, it’s the usual Stronger. I’ve had my bottle on sale for months and no one wants it at a normal price. We let ourselves be swept away by the hype without trying. If you have a Stronger from a potent batch, look elsewhere. It happened to me with the Amber and I suppose the new Tobacco will be the same: promised openings followed by absolute redundancy.

  • I bought it because I’m a fan of leather notes; in my mind, it came as a ‘wow!’ SWY with leather… and yes, as everyone says, it shares the same DNA with a tiny pinch (mind you) of leather. Personally, I love it, but I would have liked them to turn up the heat a couple of notches more. In my humble opinion, if it’s called ‘Leather’, that note should be the protagonist, but it isn’t. Sincerely, if you like the other SWY scents and already own them, I don’t see this as necessary. However, if you are like me, drawn to the leather note but wanting something sweet, very wearable, compliment-getting, with that roasted chestnut dry-down that it executes so well, I highly recommend this line.

  • I bought it because I’m a leather fan and thought: wow! Stronger with leather. Yes, it has the same DNA with a hint of leather, which I love, but I would have liked it to be more prominent. If you already have the other Strongers and like them, it’s not necessary. But if you’re looking for something sweet, very wearable, that earns compliments and has that chestnut note in the dry down, I recommend it.

  • Van der wiel

It’s a fiasco. At first, it smells very subtly of leather, but after five or ten minutes, it smells exactly like the normal EDT version of Stronger. I bought a decant due to the hype and am very disappointed.

  • Wlad Molina

Discreet, masculine and irresistible, this is a delight from the collection. It starts with that sweet, toasted and creamy note that characterises the line, with warm spices that envelop without overwhelming. Lavender is key to balancing the sweetness and avoiding cloyingness. As it dries down, the leather emerges: smoky, with woods like guaiac and oud, but softened by vanilla so it’s not aggressive. It’s a warm and elegant leather, ideal for dates where you project elegance without shouting. I give it 9/10; it’s a gem that deserves more recognition.

Discreet, masculine, and irresistible, Stronger With You Leather is a delight within the line. From the outset, you can detect that warm, creamy sweetness that defines the collection, wrapped in warm, sweet spices that envelop without overwhelming. Lavender plays a key role: it balances the sweetness, keeping it from becoming cloying, and allows each note to be enjoyed with clarity. It isn’t a star lavender, but a structural one. Upon drying, the most anticipated note emerges: the leather. Yes, despite the controversy, there is leather. It isn’t beastly or dominant like in niche fragrances, but it is there, perceptible up close, with a smoky character derived from woods such as guaiac and oud. What’s interesting is how the vanilla steps in: it softens the leather, enveloping it, and preventing it from becoming dry or aggressive. The result is a warm, elegant leather, perfectly integrated into the formula. This fragrance isn’t playful or youthful. It is masculine, mature, perfect for dates where you wish to project elegance without being loud. It doesn’t shout, but it leaves a mark. I give it 9/10. If you can get your hands on it, try it. It is a discreet gem that deserves more recognition.

Look, as Westerners, we end up paying too much here because this is exclusive to the Arab world. If you order from Dubai, it’s cheaper than in Europe, around €100 with shipping, whereas a decant here costs €30. I’ve tried the Arab clones and the one from Fragrance World has won me over: it’s identical to Stronger with a very well-executed touch of synthetic leather. Although I’m not a fan of sweetness, this balance is perfect, intimate and elegant, correcting the current flaw of fragrances being too overpowering.
