What a beast! I went for the sweetness, but here the chestnut, elemi and spices really take centre stage. The leather is mellow and smooth, an incredible success despite the low price. The vanilla and oud are super wearable, with no medicinal or faecal notes, just pure wood. I bought it blind out of curiosity; I’d already tried SWY Absolutely and liked it, but I wasn’t brave enough to pay for the Armani or the FW dupe. Knowing this Leather contained leather and oud for just €13 for 100ml, compared to the €80-90 in Dubai or €150 here, the difference was too much to ignore. Since it’s from the Middle East, I was wary, but the risk was minimal: if I didn’t like it, €13 didn’t matter; if I did, I’d have a proper gem. And so it has been, honestly it’s spectacular.
