Descripción
Evolution by Zimaya is a woody oriental fragrance for men. This creation, launched in 2024, unfolds a scent pyramid where the top notes combine spices, oregano, and bergamot; the heart reveals amber, opoponax, and labdanum; and the base settles on smoke, leather, oud wood, and patchouli.

I picked up Zimaya Evolution a month ago and it’s an absolute beast of incense with extreme longevity, even outperforming the notorious Club de Nuit Intense Men. It’s a super mega beast in terms of staying power, though it’s not wearable for everyone; while the moss note and hints of oud or bergamot would be lovely, what dominates is a brutally intense incense. Are they sure it’s an EDP? It’s so concentrated that when I rub my hand against my clothes where I applied it, the scent becomes permanently embedded. Upon leaving, it smells like church incense, as if someone had thrown all that smoke in your face. Halfway through its life, the citrus (bergamot) emerges, and in the dry-down I think it’s at its best: incense, oud, and citrus, but always with that shocking incense presence. Do not buy blind because it can become disgusting if applied to the chest. Fragrances like this should be worn below the belly button due to their incense intensity. So far, I’ve never worn more than three sprays because one can easily suffocate in the smell. It would have been a chulada if they’d added more prominent citrus notes. So you know: a very dark, heavy fragrance (even heavier than Lataffa Khamras), where incense dominates and it’s not for blind buys.
Super intense perfume, perfect for those who want to try Amouage Interlude without spending a fortune. The spices are very noticeable, so much so that my girlfriend sneezed, probably due to the pepper. It’s a very interesting olfactory experience, though I wouldn’t wear it to social events as I think it’s hard to take. As for quality, it’s clear it’s not synthetic, and after half an hour, once it settles, it becomes much richer. The longevity is decent, nothing beast mode. Finally, the presentation is 10/10, a beautiful and neat package.
