I picked this up today and I’ve taken a liking to it; it’s super fresh and classy. What I like most is that you can wear it all year round. The bottle is also gorgeous and very feminine.

Well, I bought it blindly for the price and because Jessica Simpson’s scents are usually good. The packaging is gorgeous: elegant, simple, white and gold, a perfect mix of glam and minimalism. That said, the bottle weighs a ton. The fragrance isn’t explosive; it’s rather a common scent, giving me the feeling of ‘I’ve smelled this before’; it’s like Can Can without the amber. The dry-down with raspberry and vanilla reminds me of Wonderstruck. The truth is, Fancy Girl is lovely; it’s not here to revolutionise anything, but it’s very well executed, sophisticated, sensual, and doesn’t seem its price. The opening is intense, with powerful raspberry and nectarine, sweet like thick syrup. After 20 minutes, the vanilla comes out (very creamy) and smells of peach with vanilla, as the website said. The white flowers dust everything over and lower the initial cloying sweetness. It lasts half a day on skin, with the first three hours having a moderate-to-intense trail, then it stays close to the skin with a talcum touch. On clothes, it lasts all day. Ideal for spring, though it suits any season. 7.5/10.

I bought it blindly for the price and Jessica Simpson’s good reviews. What beautiful, elegant, and simple packaging – white and gold, a perfect combination. It’s a deadly weapon because it weighs a ton. The fragrance isn’t explosive; it’s an average scent that sounds like ‘I’ve heard this before’, similar to Can Can without the amber. The creamy vanilla and raspberry remind me of Wonderstruck. It’s lovely, sophisticated, and sensual without seeming its price. The opening is intense, sweet like thick raspberry and nectarine syrup. After 20 minutes, the vanilla emerges and smells of peaches with vanilla; the white flowers tame the initial cloying sweetness. It lasts six hours on skin (three with a moderate trail, then sillage-free like talcum powder) and all day on clothes. Ideal for spring, though it works year-round. 7.5/10.

  • I prefer Fancy Love or I Fancy You to this one. It doesn’t smell bad, but there’s something in the scent I can’t stand. Perhaps it’s the vanilla with the floral note, I don’t know. In my case, I prefer one of the other two I mentioned earlier to Fancy Girl.

  • I prefer Fancy Love or I Fancy You to this one. It doesn’t smell bad, but there’s something in the vanilla and floral blend that I simply can’t stand. In my case, I’ll stick with the other two rather than Fancy Girl.

  • Hello! I bought it blindly yesterday; luckily it was a tester because I didn’t like it on my skin at all. I felt it was a familiar lady’s scent but couldn’t remember which one it was. I gave it to my mum as she liked it and it lasts a long time, although it doesn’t have enough trail to be felt beyond a few metres, what a pity the bottle is so lovely.

  • Hello! I bought this blindly yesterday, and thanks to it being a tester, it didn’t disappoint: on my skin, it smells like a lady’s scent I can’t quite identify, but my mum absolutely loved it and it lasts forever. The trail doesn’t reach beyond a few metres, what a pity, but the bottle is gorgeous.
