The opening is identical to CH’s La Bomba: very sour fruits and that strange, controversial smell (does it smell like mothballs?) which lingers slowly. What I don’t see are the floral notes that should emerge as the sour fruits fade. We’ll have to wait and see if it improves with time.
Caught me off guard: I couldn’t stand the original Bomba due to that strange, super-pungent and irritating scent. What a pity, as I loved that citrus, floral blend with its almond finish. In this version, that sting disappears within seconds, leaving only what I like, so the inspiration has improved and fixed what I disliked about the original. Ideal for spring and summer, fresh yet with character.
