Filigrane Weaves Floral Light Into Warm Resin
From Francesca dell'Oro, Filigrane is a new Oriental Floral entry for 2026, designed for men and women alike.
It reads as delicate tracery: cool spices and green notes on one side, powdery blossom and dark resins on the other.
At the top are elemi, pink pepper, cardamom, angelica and pear. The effect is resinous-green and coolly spiced, lifted by the watery sweetness of pear.
At its centre, musk, floral notes, Madagascar vanilla, saffron and jasmine create a softer focus. Jasmine brings a white-petalled lift, vanilla a creamy roundness, saffron a whisper of dry spice.
Below sit olibanum, ambroxan, vetiver and cypriol. The incense note gives a veiled smokiness, vetiver keeps things trim and earthy, and ambroxan adds lasting amber warmth.
In wearing, the amber, white-floral, musky, powdery, balsamic and fresh-spicy facets come through, with a faint coniferous freshness at the edges.
The balance is carefully judged: floral softness never masks the resins, and the resins never weigh the florals down.
Suited to those who enjoy refined unisex perfumery, musky white flowers over incense, and cardamom and pink pepper kept sheer rather than fiery.
Filigrane closes in a composed way: clear and aromatic at first, floral and gently vanilla-like in the middle, then warm, woody and faintly smoky.
