  • A complete and very interesting perfume. Bvlgari didn’t fail with this Goldea; it’s complex, has many notes, but they are all perceived and coexist in harmony, giving a good result. What I notice most is the jasmine, the blackberries, the neroli, and the peony. It results in an opulent, charming scent with caché. It’s even-handed, satisfying the woman who wants to be beautiful, feminine, and charming all at once.

  • Although it has a nocturnal focus, it lacks presence. Perhaps it’s due to fatigue or failing to capture the musk properly, as it’s quite short-lived and I’m not the only one who notices. In the dry-down, where it loses the sweet berry scent, it gives me doubts; it sounds a bit generic and forced, perhaps due to the musk or the chypre base. It’s a pity because the opening of fruits and flowers is good, on the balsamic line of Morillas without any stridency. The night-blooming jasmine isn’t clearly noticeable, that flower between jasmine and vanilla. I prefer classic jasmine, although many love night-blooming jasmine. I agree with the pyramid: slightly musky blackberry over a soft floral base and chypre base. EDIT: The opening is a bit alcoholic; it should improve that.

  • Since I put it on until it dries down, the neroli is in all its glory. It’s nothing innovative or special, but the truth is, I can’t stop receiving compliments. It’s made to please everyone. It’s not my favourite, but when I don’t know what to wear, I opt for Goldea The Roman Night, and someone always approaches asking what smells so exquisite.

  • Years ago, in a fit of madness, I moved to Rome. I wanted adventure, so I grabbed the first plane ticket, knowing not a word of Italian, with streets that seemed like mazes in the rain. For two weeks, I thought I’d failed, but then, between the telly, the papers, and cappuccinos, I started to loosen up. Time changed, I met people, and I started going out. The Roman night is a world: from the slightly touristy mythical neighbourhoods to San Lorenzo, with rock and smoke, or places pretending at Italian glamour. For me, that night was always magical. Goldea Roman Night caught my eye with its black bottle and the name, so I tried it. I expected smells of old stone, bitter Aperol, dinner-time oregano, and the elegant clothes of the vain. But no. It’s a sweet, milky floral, charming, but not nocturnal. If it were transparent, no one would wear it at night. It’s tender and very fleeting, so I reapply it often to make it last. I love it; I feel good in it. Although it doesn’t smell exactly like Rome, it evokes that Latin nonchalance, the people’s passion, and how Italian women dress up: a little of everything, but without overdoing it. It’s an elastic memory of my life there, which doesn’t define me but represents me and makes me feel.

  • This is one of the most beautiful scents I have ever smelled. It smells like a blackberry with vanilla, jasmine, and vetiver. It’s elegant, feminine, and delicious.

I have to make an effort to find it on my skin after a few minutes. I’m so annoyed! I’m not asking for a cologne, it’s an EDP… Because I really like how it smells at first and I’ve wanted a night perfume with blackberries for some time. I asked another person and it wasn’t just my impression; it really only feels close to the skin. I’ll see how I can boost it with a base oil or if it works better in the middle of summer. For now, it’s the same as nothing.

  • The Roman Night is an intriguing perfume. In my opinion, it’s nothing overwhelming; in fact, it’s quite conservative. However, it carries a supremely elegant touch that evokes a lady in the truest sense of the word: that one with presence and sobriety that inspires respect and chivalry. That’s how I feel when I wear it. It’s heavy if you over-spray, so a few sprays are more than enough. It’s ideal for cold or very fresh nights, and also for corporate events on days, in small quantities.

  • I have never bought a perfume that has disappointed me more than this one. It doesn’t last and doesn’t project; after 20 sprays and half an hour, it smelled of nothing. My husband could only smell something if he leaned in to my neck, and after two hours I couldn’t even detect a trace myself. I sprayed it on my clothes, and after an hour the scent was light, but by five hours it had completely disappeared. It smells good and elegant, but that ceases to matter when you can’t perceive it. It’s not fake; I bought it in a perfumerie. Is it reformulated? I don’t know… I only advise checking the longevity before buying.

  • It’s a perfume of light and dark, with performance that depends entirely on each person’s pH and the climate (I don’t think it will work well in humid and hot climates). If you’re looking for something elegant and discreet that gives you security, embraces you and makes you feel modern yet sophisticated, so that those who approach you feel embraced… well, this is a perfect option, provided you have tested it on your skin first. Goldea Night is definitely not cheap, but in my case it’s worth the quality because on my skin it lasts for many hours and on clothes for weeks. However, it’s not a perfume with a trail or projection; if you expect everyone around you to smell it, it’s not for you. For me it is, because it’s a job requirement not to be overpowering, not to bother or interfere, but to make a distinction and provide security. From that perspective, the options narrow down and oil essences are more practical, but they tend to stain clothes. Goldea meets all the requirements and has long-lasting longevity on my skin, although on friends or colleagues it doesn’t usually perform the same, so you must test it beforehand and that’s probably why it results in disappointment for some, especially when retail has accustomed us to cloying, sweet perfumes with a wide trail. Goldea doesn’t meet those three requirements, but when you perceive it, there’s no doubt it’s of good quality.

At first it smells good, quite oriental and potent with the pepper and a juicy, acidic fruit, then it moves to a white floral that generates warmth, although it doesn’t claim to have amber or incense, I do sense something of that. It stays like this until it disappears. The trail is non-existent and it seems like a skin scent (or is it my post-Covid nose, I will try it again later).

  • Goldea Roman Night is very beautiful and elegant; it suits almost any woman for any occasion. I consider it appropriate for work, family celebrations or elegant events. The white berries give an interesting acidity and joviality at the start, and then the white flowers and the musky/woody base combine divinely to create a feminine scent that highlights the woman without overwhelming her with its opulence. I always say that the strength of Bvlgari is to complement a woman’s authenticity, not to turn us into a perfumed mass. Without a doubt, I would buy it again.

  • What a divine perfume. I think the Goldea concept is right. It’s a jewel, a condensation of sun and snake. The bottle and the box fit perfectly. When I tried it in the perfumerie, I told the saleswoman it was delicious and took it without a doubt. It has a fine, sweet fruity opening, very pleasant, which demonstrates the quality. It starts ethereal and intoxicating, then that intensity drops and gives way to sweet but more earthy flowers. The bottle and the scent are two jewels. I think it shines most in the afternoon and evening, ideal for going out. Does it resemble the dry-down of Lumiere Noire by Gres?

  • What a divine perfume. I think the Goldea concept is spot on: a jewel that condenses the sun and the serpent. The bottle and box fit the idea perfectly. When I tried it in the perfumerie, I told the assistant it was delicious and didn’t hesitate to take it home. It has a fine, sweet fruity opening that is very pleasant and hints at quality. I think it shines most in the afternoon and evening for an outing. Does it dry down similar to Lumiere Noire by Gres?

  • At first, it smells of the acidity of bergamot and the sweetness of blackberry with a hint of pepper, something intriguing where a very dark rose timidly emerges before taking over. Then the neroli and white flowers appear, adding depth and an earthy touch. If you like Petit Robe Noire or Lolita Lempicka, this is your way. It’s intense, dark, sexy, elegant and very unique. I love discovering designer fragrances that haven’t been mass-produced. Perfect for a vampire who adores this kind of beauty.

  • I bought this blind because I’m a huge fan of chypres and my family is too. It’s elegant and pretty, but on my skin it fades quickly. The good thing is it doesn’t smell like those heavy gourmands that are all the rage at the moment. It’s wearable all year round, day or night.
