Hades by Mirror arrived in 2026 as a Spicy Oriental for women and men. Composed by Rodolfo Melo, it is conceived around opposition: an initial brightness giving way to a deeper register.
Passionfruit, cardamom, black pepper and saffron form the opening, with lavender, Turkish rose, Bulgarian rose, cinnamon and patchouli at the heart, and oud wood, leather, Madagascar vanilla, amber and ambergris underneath.
At first, the scent is vivid and piquant. Passionfruit offers juicy acidity, cut through by black pepper and cardamom, while saffron lends a dry, heated edge. Fresh spice and warm spice sit side by side.
The middle brings order through lavender. Its aromatic clarity frames the Turkish and Bulgarian roses, allowing their floral richness to show. Cinnamon adds muted sweetness, and patchouli contributes a dry, earthy support.
Beneath, oud wood and leather establish a smoked, animalic foundation. Madagascar vanilla softens the texture, and amber with ambergris carries a resinous warmth into the drydown.
The overall shape runs from spiced fruit, through rose-led florals, towards leathered amber. It feels suited to evenings and cooler months, when its spiced and resinous facets have room to unfold.
It will suit those drawn to spiced orientals, rose paired with aromatic lavender, and a foundation of leather, oud, amber and vanilla.
Hades keeps a steady course from luminous spice to shadowed leather and amber. Floral at its centre and resinous late on, it is a well-judged chiaroscuro.
