  Perhaps the most long-lasting citrus perfume I know. It uses the trick of loading up on aldehydes, which are usually bitter, but they blend well with citrus notes like grapefruit or here, sour apple. I usually find aldehydes difficult, but here they aren’t as overpowering as in Chanel’s No. 5; it stays fresh and doesn’t feel excessively bitter, perhaps thanks to the mandarin too. As I said, it performs very well, lasting 10 hours or more.

  Neither do I love it nor does it repel me. It opens with a super-dense lemon, boosted by sour apple and softened with ylang-ylang, leaving a cypress base. It’s fresh, citrusy and classic, with a bitter herbal touch. It hasn’t quite won me over as it can feel a bit too dense at times. It reminds me of Eau Sauvage, but I prefer the Dior version. Performance is good, ideal for spring and summer days. The longevity is long and the sillage moderate.
