Herbissimo Te Verde by Dana

I looked up reviews for the Herbissimo line on this forum and saw it has many followers, so I felt brave enough to write mine after trying the citrus, juniper, and green tea scents alternately (the green tea is my favourite and the one I use most). It starts with a very pleasant green and citrus note and practically stays there. They say it’s a bit like Loewe Pour Homme, but in my opinion, the green tea version is softer. They are simple colognes with a nostalgic, vintage feel; they smell good but last a sigh. Okay, you don’t have to empty your wallet, that’s a plus. But my conclusion is that for just a little more, I can get fragrances that satisfy my herbal cravings better, so I’ve learned something and wouldn’t buy them again, not even at those prices.

Like all the Herbissimos except that bad one, no need to advertise their perfumes; they have more than enough talent and character. Sublime in every aspect: a natural and simple green tea, the citrus one a wonderful spring delight, the juniper is wintry and elegant and not intrusive at the same time, I haven’t heard the marjoram yet and the lavender is simple and wonderful at the same time, smelling of pure nature; I imagine it comes from the fields of Mantua among the ointments prepared by a Fray Lorenzo perfume for Juliet. I love their little green bottles, sober with this vintage and eternal touch at the same time. Besides, they are natural perfumes… BRILLIANT ❤️❤️❤️

Two days ago I visited a Primor store (in Spain) and decided to try several budget fragrances; one of them, which had several different options, was the juniper Herbissimo. It reminded me so much of Eau Chanson, so for those of you looking for it, check there 😉

I didn’t know about it; I didn’t live in Spain during the 80s and 90s. I found it by chance in a neighbourhood perfumerie, browsing the classics section. I was drawn to the aged cardboard box, with the name and year painted on the back: 2006. Bought it blindly because of the modest price. What a good purchase! A soft and pleasant aroma on the skin, the feeling of being elegantly and cleanly perfumed. The citrus opening is delicate with a herbaceous scent that soon lets green tea take centre stage. Everything stays within the personal sphere. It doesn’t aim to attract attention but strangely does so with a simplicity and good taste that is much appreciated. Obviously, the longevity and trail are moderate. No problem, as it’s a joy to return to it a few hours later. I’ll regret not having some left when I run out of this bottle.

It’s an unpretentious gem: fresh, dark, and with that distinctive dampness that makes it unique. Unlike other tea waters, which tend to be citrusy and cheerful, this has a more bitter, somber touch. I’m sure all Spanish teenagers wore it in the nineties. I loved the bottle, with its dark, refreshing green hue that hinted at what was inside. The Dame de Noir—I wonder if they’ve discontinued it, as I haven’t seen it in stores for years, though I’ve seen it mentioned on perfume websites lately.

I’ve just found the juniper one inside a tin packaging that I love, pity I only found one.
