A decant has arrived and this is the second I’ve tried from this house; the name sounds dark and challenging, but the scent is quite the opposite. The first spray reminded me of that sweet treat from Mexico called ‘cocada’: coconut, dulce de leche, and sugar over vanilla. It’s a well-balanced and delicious sweetness, perhaps that’s why it’s named ‘Heroin’ – it could be addictive. Once it settles, the vanilla takes centre stage with woody notes and a very subtle leather. It has good trail and projection; a real find. Definitely very gourmand.
