For me, this is the Solonoi fragrance I enjoy the most. It wasn’t my first purchase, nor the one that initially caught my eye; several others passed through my collection before I found this one. Nowadays, I never miss a chance to wear it. Tobacco and mandarin lead the way, followed by cumin and deep woody notes. Many people praise it, especially noting that it projects well and is noticeable from a distance. In my opinion, it shines in autumn, though it works perfectly in spring and winter too. It has a unisex profile, but I believe it leans slightly towards masculine.
I’ve been wearing it for two days with plenty of time ahead, and my impression is that it’s unisex. On my skin, it starts powdery with an almost feminine opening, then turns citrusy and spicy before settling into a unisex dry-down. The longevity isn’t great, but I hope it develops a more intense character as it oxidises over the weeks. So far, it’s rich but underperforms on my fair skin; I expected more and hope to review it again once I’m more comfortable with it. Verdict: try before you buy.
