It is a perfumery manifesto that demands attention and leaves a lasting impression; a blend of spices, incense, chilli, and oregano with balms that you wouldn’t think work together. It is an oriental bomb that fills the senses: it smells of incense, dry leaves in the forest, earth, and temple. It is a total sensory journey, undoubtedly the perfect scent for my wedding.
A BEAST OF A CARE: An extreme experience with a brutal 53% concentration that leaves the skin shiny and oily at first. The scent is the classic Interlude DNA but more mature and rounded; it has that oregano and lots of incense, but balanced, less chaotic. It lasts 18-20 hours on easy-to-hold skin. Warning: more than three sprays cause olfactory fatigue for you, though you smell like miles away to others. Projects strongly for the first 2 hours before creating a dense bubble. Watch out for clothes! It stains light fabrics, so better to apply directly to the skin. It is not for young people or for blind buying; it is for challenging scents. It is expensive, but with just three sprays the bottle lasts years.
I cannot elaborate much as I do not see a great difference from the original, which has a lower concentration. Interlude 53 is an improvement over the original: it maintains the scent almost 100% (I am not qualified to differentiate), but Amouage rounds it off and tames its strengths, giving it more polish. They say it fixes better and projects less, and I see that is a success. If the price fits, it is a slightly better option.
It is a very marked oud and leather that is even annoying. It performs well, but for me it is tiring. I recommend it only for nights or cool places. It is the same fragrance as Midnight Oud by Ard Zafaran, a beast. I do not recommend blind buying.
Let me summarise: this is confidence in a bottle.
Finally, I have mustered the courage to write my first review, and there was no better option than to do so with this marvel. I will not delve into notes or performance; I speak of sensations. As a faithful follower of Interlude Man, I was obliged to try this 53 version. It is more rounded, less shouty, more comfortable. Interlude 53 is the perfume you put on and feel good in, confident and powerful; it gives you that extra presence that, combined with attitude, forms an imposing aura. It evokes sensations, transports you to worlds, and makes you feel. It is not just that it smells good or lasts forever; it makes you happy. Totally recommended to try it, and if you like it, buy it.
A marvel that, although not for everyone, is a masterpiece. There is no need to say anything about performance: it is eternal.
Mystical and spiritual, this perfume is spectacular for men who want to project confidence and strength. It is exquisite in that blend of oriental, mystical, and religious aromas, with enormous projection and day-long duration. The price is prohibitive, so it is no surprise that its Arabic dupes are evaluated as an alternative.

Absolute madness; in my life I have never smelled anything like this. This is not a perfume, it is liquid presence. It is dark, mysterious, with incense and resins that seem taken from a lost temple in Oman. Absurd power, it lingers on your skin and clothes for days. I am totally in agreement that it is Bruce Wayne’s fragrance: if you wear it with a suit, you are no longer yourself, you are the owner of the city.

A balance and success of super intense notes that result in a monolithic and masculine aroma, in capital letters. The more you appreciate it, the more you admire it; all the notes play their part in a real evolution. More than a perfume, it is an olfactory experience: a rough outing for a rich dry-down. It is not for everyone or just another perfume; Interlude Man sets a style and a precedent in modern perfumery. I highly recommend smelling and enjoying it. It has no rivals; only Kouros could play it at its own game. Interlude Man 53 projects less but lasts tattooed on your skin as long as you want; you feel each note parade. Try it.
A superb balance and hit of super-intense notes creating a monolithic and masculine aroma, in capital letters. The more you try it, the more you admire it; each note fulfils its role in an olfactory evolution that is a total success. More than a perfume, it is an experience: a rough opening with a rich dry-down. It is not for everyone nor is it just another perfume; Interlude Man establishes an unknown style in the West, being a precedent in modern perfumery. I highly recommend it: smell it at least once, but better yet, enjoy it worn. It has no rivals, surpassing many; only Kouros could play it at its own game, but that is another story. Interlude Man 53 projects less but lasts tattooed on the skin for as long as you wish, feeling each declared note parade by. Give it a try.
The moment you smell it, the first word that comes to mind is ‘Titan’. It is pure power, overwhelming yet refined. It is the ultimate definition of an oriental fragrance: resinous, incense-heavy and spiced, all turned up to the maximum but controlled with masterful precision. It may not be for everyone, but to me it is spectacular. The accords are perfect, the clarity of the notes is sublime, with nuances and immense depth, all handled so logically it feels like magic, especially with that 53% oil concentration. It is an essential experience for any perfume lover. There is no need to discuss performance or scent; you simply have to try it. Never has such a potent beast been handled with such subtlety. What a marvel! Best regards.
Pure elegance from Amouage. An Interlude that is more sophisticated and imposing, ideal for high-level evening events or frosty mornings. This fragrance is worn with force and attitude; without it, you would feel like a puppet at its mercy.
If Bruce Wayne had an olfactory signature, this would undoubtedly be it: elegant, mysterious, imposing and characterful. The spicy, strong opening dominates, with incense present from the very first second. After about 30 minutes, in the second phase, exquisite amber and creamy sandalwood balance the initial punch, demonstrating true quality. I recommend it only to people with plenty of attitude, because otherwise, it will be too much for you.
