  • The fruity sweetness fades quickly, leaving a floral-woody trail that remains slightly sweet but never cloying for 90% of the scent’s life. The heart notes are noticeable. It’s not a particularly distinguished scent (nothing groundbreaking), but it is elegant. Suitable for day and night, though not in the heat. Projection is average on Varvatos, but the longevity is good and the price isn’t too high. Forget the typical leather of this designer; this is the sweetest I’ve smelled from Varvatos.

  • Gentil vagabond

Balanced apple with cardamom, a good perfume in the Boss fragrance range, thanks to its fruity sweetness. It delivers.

  • Gentil vagabond

Balanced apple with cardamom; a decent perfume in the Boss fragrance range for that fruity sweetness, fulfilling its promise.

  • molletmod.73

Very generic, synthetic, and overused in designer men’s perfumery; a mix of sweetness with cardamom, soft florals, and a tobacco-woody finish with sandalwood. Smells like a blend of CK Eternity Parfum and Ferragamo EDT, reminiscent of the classic Chanel Egoiste Platinum from 1993, with that typical caramelised apple opening of Hugo Boss. The bottle with its silver hanging medallion is kitsch due to being overly baroque and sentimental. Performance is short and cheap, as with other Varvatos fragrances. Longevity: 4 hours, period. Sillage is short, around 30 cm. Projects for 30 minutes before staying close to the skin. A woman would also wear it well. Less suitable for extreme heat, but has good versatility. For dates, it’s luxury: apply half an hour before and you’ll shine like Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. In a pub or club, it falls short; any Paco Rabanne beats it. If you’re a fan, a collector, and can grab it for under 50 quid, go ahead. Don’t pay more, not for a moment; there are better options.

  • A sweet, fruity fragrance with woody and coffee notes… I loved it and bought it without a second thought.
