It’s a super original violet, though it doesn’t really grab me. It smells very real, fresh, with a strong herbal bitterness, robust wood, and a touch of talc. It changes a lot depending on the skin, so you should try it before buying to avoid regret.
It’s a totally different violet from anything I’ve ever smelled: nothing sweet or powdery, but earthy, almost chypre. The problem is it lasts for such a short time, so the 45 euros for the small bottle seem like a joke.
Kerbside Violet smells like Lush: artisanal, rare, and with a ‘hipster’ vibe, I’m fascinated! I received it as a Christmas present and was surprised because it’s a natural, green, icy, almost metallic violet, just like right after rain. It has a 70s vintage feel, strong at first, then becomes tender and powdery without being sweet like caramel. It smells like a dressing room or a chemist’s shop. It’s versatile, fresh for summer, and long-lasting for winter. It has its quirks, but if you like ‘oldschool’ scents, it’s a hit. The bottle is simple and the scent is complex, true to the flower without frills. I recommend trying it before buying!
