I travelled to Greece and Aegean Airlines lost my suitcase, leaving me stranded in Thessaloniki for two days without anything, not even a toothbrush, so I had to buy the essentials to survive. For me, the essential is to perfume myself; I simply cannot go anywhere without a scent (I’m just that posh, what can I do?), so I brought this Kyma by Korrés. It’s a major Greek brand with global reach, founded as a humble pharmacy in Athens on Eratosthenus Street. Kyma (‘wave’ in Greek) is the original ‘Water cedar lime’ and shares identical notes. Based on the name, it’s fresh and aquatic, not citrusy, but a lovely marine freshness with spices, woods, and vetiver that add sophistication. It smells excellent. The major flaw is that it’s very weak; it lasts less than Nenuco. At 29€ for 50ml, it’s expensive for such poor performance.
