Buaa, beast. Leather is my queen note and this has been my discovery of the year 2025 so far. A brutal, rich, potent and animalic leather, yet surprisingly elegant and distinguished. If you know Afrika Olifant, the way to explain it is that LF is its polished and noble version. It reminded me a lot, exuding that animal power without being so ‘dirty’. A marvel. The Royal feels more luxurious, soft and polished, with sweet/fruit notes (dates) which are no longer my thing; this one is more wild, animal and hard.
