If you’re a perfume addict, comparing is the only way to find something. Leather Nude is the elegant cousin of Tuscan Leather: it’s not rough, but Merch of Venice’s quality surpasses Tom Ford’s. It’s spiced, peppery leather, bordering on the diesel note of Gucci Absolute, yet more versatile and less daring. Perhaps it falls short, but that restraint makes it more elegant and serene. Lasts about six hours: strong at first, then skin-scented. The downside is the price: 30ml for over €130, when similar options exist for €40, like Lattafa’s Oud Wood, but here you’re paying for quality. It’s not original, but it is a good perfume.
