I just tried it as a decant and it is one of the most charming perfumes I have ever encountered; it is almost impossible for anyone not to like it. It is timeless, perfect for someone aged 15 or 95, and suitable for any season or situation, even a first date. I would only avoid it for parties where you have to fight against strong scents. It opens citrusy but soon transitions into a rich, bright fruity sweetness. It is fairly linear, with the overall accord standing out rather than individual notes. It is not cheap, yet not excessive for a niche fragrance. The only drawback is longevity: at 17 degrees, it lasts 5–6 hours. If it had more presence, it would be a 10, but as it is, it is a 9. I already have it in my collection for office or daytime wear; it is very comfortable.

L’Humaniste Extreme opens with a brutal burst of cardamom, citrus, and pink pepper, reminiscent of Aqua Vitae Forte or Santalla. However, the heart becomes linear, like a classic 90s cologne, featuring tart quince and neroli. Projection is strong for the first hour, but longevity sits at 6–7 hours. It suits spring or autumn for formal occasions, though the price in Europe no longer justifies what it offers. Worth testing on skin before buying, as paper notes can be misleading.
