Descripción
Mandarino di Sicilia by Perris Monte Carlo is an aromatic citrus fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by perfumer Gian Luca Perris. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds a vibrant blend of bitter orange, green mandarin, yellow mandarin, and Paraguay petit grain. The heart reveals floral elegance with orange blossom, jasmine, and geranium, while the base rests on a warm and persistent accord of cedar, musk, and amber.

Excellent fragrance that evokes for me a mandarin tree bathed in the sea breeze from the Italian coast. A summer scent with a woody touch that makes it more earthy and warm. The trail isn’t very wide, but the time it lasts while working is a delight.
They say it’s the most natural mandarin that exists, how will the others be then? hehe. Sometimes I’m not sure if I have a privileged sense of smell or if I’m just not cut out for this; it’s bipolar because the discrepancies between the reviews and what I smell are brutal. Almost everyone praises it as luxurious and complimentary, but here I feel a ‘want but can’t’. At first, there are lovely green chords, like petit grain or green mandarin, but then everything wraps itself in something that has little to do with the concept. A dominant note identical to Stilla, with a forced and synthetic texture that I’ve just come to detest. Perhaps it’s the longevity aspect, which on my skin isn’t bad at all. Another letdown.
My favourite from the Perris Italian collection, ideal for summer. It’s mandarin with woody and green notes; it’s not as sweet or gourmand as the Arancia. You can feel the journey through the whole tree: the fruit, the flower, the wood, and the green of the leaves. Very fresh with exceptional quality components. The longevity is typical of a citrus cologne, not very high, hovering around six hours depending on the heat.
Brutal fragrance; I don’t believe it offends anyone because I can’t think of a single person who doesn’t love it. If there were a category for aromas of extreme distinction, this would be at the very top. It tells the life story of the mandarin from flower to fruit. Bear in mind, it’s not for everyone, but it is for those seeking a refined taste and true class.
