  I take off my shoes, put on my goggles and the tube, and the sea begins to caress my feet. A little cold, but the urge wins out; I dive in and submerge. I love diving among the rocks; usually I see marine life, but when I focus, I see something strange and glowing. I want to grab it, and I’m surprised when it’s him who grabs me instead. He holds on tight and drags me deep. My breathing becomes vital and my ears are about to burst when suddenly… what is this? I can breathe and hear at great depths; it’s like another world. Taking off the goggles, I perceive an intense scent of the sea, with algae and ambergris. In this marine city, life flows just like ours; if I didn’t know what happened, I’d say I’m in another country, a city with fur and leather shops that smell incredible, fields and tall green trees exuding an incensed, smoky, delicious resin. I open my eyes, the sun has hidden, I’m wet but not cold. What happened? What do I smell? I have no answer, only that whatever took me was fascinating and that I will forever hold that scent in my memory. Thank you, Sea. Thank you, Meluzyna.

  I take off my shoes, grab the goggles and the tube, and the sea begins to kiss my feet; the water is a little cold, but the desire overcomes me. I launch myself upwards, stretch my arms, and submerge into that vastness. I love diving near the rocks; usually I see marine life, but when I look closely, I see something strange and glowing in front of me. I want to grab it, and to my surprise, it’s him who catches me. He has grabbed me with an excessive force that renders my attempts to break free useless. Suddenly, that thing starts swimming deeper and deeper, dragging me along with it. My breathing becomes vital and my ears are on the verge of exploding when suddenly… What is this? I can breathe, even at great depths, and even hear; I understand nothing, it’s like another world down here. The moment I take off the goggles, I perceive an intense scent of the sea, with algae and ambergris. In this marine city, life flows just like ours; so much alike that if I didn’t know what happened to me, I’d say I’m in another country, a city with shops selling species and leathery furs that smell wonderful, fields for cultivation and tall green trees exuding an incensed, smoky, delicious resin. I open my eyes, the sun has already hidden, I’m wet but not cold. What happened? What do I smell? Right now I have no answer; the only thing I know is that whatever took me was fascinating and that I will forever hold that scent in my memory. Thank you, Sea. Thank you, Meluzyna.

  Smells of incense, dark and damp; not a fresh marine note, but rather like a deep, dark underwater cave. If that’s the concept, chapeau. It’s more of an olfactory experience than something for daily wear. Smells more like the sea than Megamare (which to me smells of coffee and black pepper). I see it as very similar to Squid, but darker, incensed, and more potent. If you like Zoologist, you’ll love this Meluzyna. The longevity and projection are impressive. It also reminds me of Gucci’s Midnight Stroll, though the latter is more woody.
