If you’re unsure between the intense and the original, let me clear it up: this smells of pistachio with candied peel, sweet, gourmand, and elegant. Creamy and sophisticated. To me, it leans more towards pistachio macarons than ice cream. A brilliant fragrance; I’ve even got a backup. The original version has a synthetic citrus note that smells of citronella. In the dry down it reminds me of mosquito spray and the ice cream aroma gets eclipsed. For me, there’s no contest: this is a perfume bomb, the other… ugh.
INCREDIBLE! Its sillage is huge; people always tell me I smell good and ask what perfume I’m wearing. I’m not sure if it’s a dupe of Kayali’s pistachio, but it’s a unique, gourmand, and elegant scent. This intense version is much better than the normal one.
Absolutely stunning! The trail is incredible; people always ask what I’m wearing. I’m not sure if it’s a dupe for Kayali’s pistachio as I haven’t heard of it, but it’s a unique, gourmand and super-elegant scent. Without a doubt, this Intense version is far superior to the original.
I started with the original and threw it away because that bergamot smelled like citronella to me – a disaster. But the Intense version stole my heart. Mind you, it’s not more potent; it’s different: here there are no citrus or cardamom notes, just bitter almond and sandalwood that make it deep and woody, perfect for cold weather or evenings. It smells elegant, unisex, and lasts a long time. It reminds me of a pistachio cream bun, not ice cream, so it has nothing to do with Kayali. I tried it with Affection by Kataffa and it’s still not the same. If you catch it on sale, buy it – it’s brilliant.
I’ll start by saying I owned the original version and removed it from my collection because the bergamot note was unpleasant, smelling of citronella. On the other hand, Moonlight Whisper Intense conquered me. This intense version isn’t stronger than the original; it’s different. It has no citrus or cardamom, making it less ‘fresh’. Here we have bitter almond and sandalwood, which makes it deeper and woodier, ideal for autumn, winter, and night. It has good longevity, sillage, and an elegant touch, something unisex. I like the combination of nuts and vanilla; it’s not fully gourmand as there’s no sugar. It reminds me more of a cake with pistachio cream than an ice cream, nothing like Kayali’s Yum Gelato Pistachio. I’ve tried Affection by Kataffa and I don’t notice it as similar. I like it and recommend it, especially if you find it on sale.
It smells similar to the original but is more autumnal and wintery. The other one is fresher.
I LOVE IT! I have a collection of 79 perfumes (a tiny number compared to many others) and this is undoubtedly one of the ones I use most. It reminds me of the sweet kitchen area when I was studying to be a chef: that essence of pistachio from cakes and macarons. It’s in the fragrance all the time and it’s beautiful. I feel it’s totally unisex, wonderful for anyone who wants to wear it. When I bought it, I tested the original on one arm and this on the other; the original is fresher for everyday wear, while this is for autumn-winter, cloudy days. It’s perfect. One of the best I’ve smelled from Zara in a long time. If you have doubts, don’t have them and buy it NOW.
I adore it! I have a collection of 79 perfumes and this is one of my favourites. It brings back memories of the sweet kitchen when I was training to be a chef; that essence of pistachio from cakes and macarons is always there and it’s lovely. I feel it’s totally unisex, perfect for anyone wanting to try it. When I bought it, I wore the original on one arm and this on the other; the original is for everyday wear, fresher, while this is for autumn, winter or cloudy days – it’s perfect. One of the best things I’ve smelled at Zara in years, if you’re unsure, buy it NOW.
Pffff, I’m not sure I love it. The opening is strong, giving that sensation of the ‘Roma soap’ sold here – it’s clean but very intense. Then it settles and you smell the pistachio, but that soapy note never goes away. I expected something creamier; I bought it because a TikTok said it smelled like pistachio ice cream, but it’s very light. It doesn’t smell bad, it’s nice, but it’s not super creamy or enveloping; it seems to have tried to be strong and ended up in the middle. I think it would be perfect for me if it were milkier, but it works for those who don’t love sweet perfumes and just want a touch. I’m not in love but it didn’t put me off; it must be a matter of taste – my mum smells it of ripe cherries and my sister loved it. I’ll give it more time; it’s one of the best at Zara for being unique with that pistachio and almond blend.
Based on the notes, I thought it would be rich, sweet, and almond-y… but it wasn’t. The opening is very strong, vanilla-like but artificial; I didn’t like it at all. Perhaps the pistachio note was the problem; it seemed to smell like the plastic wrapper of some cake. When that unpleasant note disappears (1-2 hours later), a rich vanilla and sugar scent remains, but only close to the skin. Perhaps my expectations were too high.

It seems to want to be strong but ends up weak. It would be perfect for me if it were more milky, but it works for those who don’t love sweet scents. I’m not in love with it, but I don’t dislike it either. My mum smells it of ripe cherries and my sister loved it. I’ll give it more time; I think it’s one of the best from Zara, very unique thanks to the pistachio and almond.
Judging by the notes, I thought it would be a rich, sweet and almond perfume… but it wasn’t. For me, the opening is very strong, vanilla-like but artificial; I didn’t like it at all. Perhaps it was the pistachio note, very poorly executed and it seemed like the plastic wrapper of some pastry. Once that unpleasant note disappears (after 1-2 hours), a lovely vanilla and sugar scent remains, but it’s only perceptible up close. Perhaps the description made me have expectations that were too high…
Update after a month: it’s absolutely worth it. The opening is strong, very strong, but it settles quickly and smells unique: creamy, sparkling pistachio. I’ve loved it and it lasts a long time; I can still smell it days later. It’s not for everyone, but it’s so unique I wonder why it isn’t valued more. One of my cousins said it smelled delicious all day. It’s the best of Zara: soft, clean, slightly creamy pistachio. It doesn’t project everywhere, which makes it special. Don’t buy it blindly: you’ll either hate it or you’ll love it.
This perfume and my skin are a luxury duo; I adore it. I wear it on freezing days and have a wonderful experience with Zara; many find it artificial, but that doesn’t matter to me. I own hundreds of perfumes and can’t keep count. There are the exorbitant designer or niche ones, and nowadays synthetic notes are very common. What truly matters is how your skin transforms the scent and how long it lasts. The rest is irrelevant when buying.
