I tried the MTV Soundcheck yesterday alongside Davidoff’s Cool Water. I sprayed two sprays on each forearm. While the Cool Water faded after 2 or 3 hours and evaporated completely by hour five, the MTV kept projecting. It has a very fresh, pleasant citrus opening, though it fades quickly, around 20 minutes. It then transforms into the same scent as the Nike Gold Edition, but with more potency and longevity. Compared to the Nike, this MTV feels more like a cologne than a light fragrance. Given they’re from the same perfumer, the similarity is obvious. Apparently, just as the Nike is a clone of Bleu de Chanel, this MTV is too. The scent is more than acceptable, though slightly chemical or not entirely natural, with good projection for about 3 hours and longevity exceeding 6 hours on the skin. Honestly, for the price it’s selling for here, it’s a steal.

The truth is, for the price it sells for in my country, it’s a genuine bargain.
Honestly, I didn’t expect much and I’m not a fan of expensive fragrances; I have several budget options I adore. There were no testers, and the incense note caught my attention. In the end, curiosity killed the cat: SoundCheck smells super generic, leaves no trail and doesn’t last at all. Totally disappointed, the money went straight to the bin.
