Love at first sniff. It’s the fruit in a dark, natural forest, simply beautiful. Naturalistic, realistic, and straight into a forest full of blackberries. There’s no doubt. It’s like that blackberry cologne from Yves Rocher that defined a generation (the one I belong to), but of vastly superior quality. For those of you longing for that vegetal interpretation of blackberry. Current versions (such as Amethyst by Lalique) present it as jam, caramel, or sweet, which is very different from the natural scent of the berry. A faithful green and violet blend between berries and trees.
Love is a dark, natural forest where the blackberry shines in all its glory. It is the Yves Rocher blackberry cologne that defined my generation, but with a stunning quality. While current versions turn it into jam or caramel, this one maintains its green and violet fidelity between berries and trees, offering the perfect vegetal interpretation we’ve been missing.
Here, I detect very faint blackberry notes that fade quickly, leaving only the musk and a herbal touch that doesn’t quite convince me. It’s a very light fragrance, almost like a vintage cologne à la Álvarez Gómez. I expected more, though I acknowledge the ingredients are of high quality. I suppose that justifies the price, although the longevity is disappointing.
I detect very light blackberries that fade quickly, leaving only musk and a herbal note that I don’t quite enjoy. It’s a fragrance that’s too light, almost like a vintage cologne à la Álvarez Gómez. I expected more, although I acknowledge the ingredients are top-notch. I suppose that justifies the price, even though the longevity leaves a lot to be desired.
