My Soul Supreme is, without doubt, one of the best things that has ever graced the shelves of Mercadona, but its story is one of wanting and not being able. After trying a large part of its line, this was the only one that truly captivated me with its scent, although it ended up confirming my promise not to buy supermarket perfumes again due to their poor longevity. It must be acknowledged that in its first batches, the presentation was spectacular. It had a bottle covered in velvet, very cool and elegant, with a quality atomiser that projected a fine mist. Unfortunately, after the reformulation, everything changed: the packaging became simpler and, most seriously, its longevity plummeted. Although the official notes are simple, I perceive much more. It has a citrusy and fresh opening, but with a sweet and spicy touch that mixes with a floral nuance. I could be wrong, but for me this must contain cardamom, rose, lavender, and a base of vanilla or tonka bean. In its drydown, a very creamy woody note predominates, probably from sandalwood, and an amber base. It is a fragrance for autumn and winter, ideal for dinners or short events of a couple of hours, since its performance is poor. In its first batches, it could last about 6 hours, but after the reformulation, if it reaches 3 hours, it’s a miracle. It is a scent that I really liked, one of the best from Mercadona, but there are better options that give you more performance and quality for the same price. I am clear that I will not buy supermarket perfumes again. My Soul Supreme has a notable and elegant scent, but with a performance that is not up to scratch. Rating: 6
