Created by Sian Lee for UNDER THE PERGOLA and introduced in 2023, NEUP is a green-floral offering for both women and men.
Cassis, violet leaf, cypress and bergamot set the tone: leafy, sparkling and slightly shaded, rather like air beneath planting.
At its centre, sharp lime refines the blend before lily of the valley, wild rose and jasmine come forward.
The lily of the valley feels bright and ozonic, the wild rose is sheer with little sweetness, and jasmine lends a gentle, white-petalled glow.
Towards the base, violet, vetiver, musk and civet lend a more powdered, earthy character.
Violet picks up the powder from the leaves, vetiver keeps a dry green backbone, and musk with civet creates a well-kept yet faintly animalic skin impression.
In wear it moves from cool, spiced freshness towards something softer and nearer — still green, but mellowed and talc-like.
It will suit those who favour shared green florals, sheer rose and muguet, and a favourite clean musk that carries a whisper of animalic depth.
