I thought this would be an oriental, very hot scent with lots of clove and, above all, cinnamon. In reality, it’s something else entirely—interesting, though I’m not sure if it’s incredible or something I need to own. It’s a blend of heliotrope, violet, musk, and ylang-ylang that smells very creamy, similar to the Climates by Bvlgari BLV or BLV II, or to a niche fragrance like L. Villoresi Teint de Neige, although TdN is more beautiful. This Penhaligon’s isn’t my favourite from the brand; my favourites are Peoneve, Vaara, or Amaranthine, but this one is interesting, has good strength, and lasts well.
