A vintage classic that fits perfectly today. A blend of floral heliotrope powder with fresh mandarin and the warmth of orange blossom. Everything is very sweet yet balanced, neither dense nor overpowering; ideal for young ladies seeking that extra touch of seduction and femininity, best paired with an elegant evening gown. Nothing sticky; it feels like a natural, floral aromatic river. Spices emerge slowly on the skin, powdery yet distinct from modern sugary scents; here, the powder arrives a few minutes later, giving that classic vibe I admire. With noble woods and dark vanilla, the potion is complete. When Cornubia melts into the skin, it is wonderful, simple, and perfect. Wearing this perfume is like travelling back in time to become Rose DeWitt Bukater, the young lady of high English society bound for the USA in 1912. It retains that traditional education with a bouquet of heliotrope, orange blossom, and jasmine, but its rebellion shines through with a warm, woody amber base, revealing an untamed character. The childish sweetness of vanilla gives way to a soft musk, a truly feminine scent. It is a fantasy story transmitted by a perfume from a century ago, something special. It is not a current fragrance, but a great powdery floral, sweet without being cloying, woody and musky; an authentic woman’s perfume.

I love scents that transport you to the past! A Fragrantica user said it reminded them of a night at the opera, and for me, it evokes exactly that: an elegant lady, velvet, wooden armchairs… It smells of honey, sweet as marzipan but not cloying, with a powdery touch, woods, and a delicious vanilla base. Certainly not for everyone, more so because of that ‘old-fashioned’ touch, which, on the other hand, is its greatest charm.
I was eager to try this classic and it did not disappoint. At first, it smells of honey with a sweet powdery touch, the scent that reminds me of my grandmother without seeming like an old lady’s perfume. Over time, it softens, leaving a more elegant trail. I would wear it in winter, as it is quite strong for warm weather.
