It’s the best cheap gourmand out there. The moment I smelled it, I thought: ‘That’s the Alaska and Mario one!’ I adored it and repurchased it until they delisted it, but thank goodness this is identical and comes in a larger quantity. It’s super-sweet, indulgent, and warm vanilla. If you love gourmands or vanilla scents, you must own this. The only downside is the atomiser, which I’ve seen in other reviews often arrives faulty, but I’d still recommend keeping it as your everyday staple.

Although the opening is fresh and soft, within a minute a heavy vanilla smell, with plastic and burnt nuances, totally artificial, overwhelms everything. I wore it all afternoon yesterday and it became unbearable. I didn’t detect the sandalwood, violet, or jasmine… nothing, just a smell of burnt plastic. I do like vanilla, and if I’d smelled soft, creamy, natural vanilla, I would have been content even without the other ingredients. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The good points: the bottle is pretty, the price is fabulous, and the longevity and sillage are good.

Although they remain eau de toilettes, they last quite well, around four hours. I’d rate the scent as a light gourmand, very soft: slightly artificial vanilla with plastic nuances and a woody base that balances the excess sugar. For vanilla addicts, it could be a summer option as it’s not too heavy, although it’s not the essence of naturalness. Finally, the quantity-quality-price ratio is good: 150ml for around £12.
