A friend recommended this Noir by Adnan B. as an alternative to Creed Aventus, and upon trying it, I was surprised by the quality, outperforming clones like Unpredictable Adventure or AB Silver Spirit. It doesn’t smell exactly like the original Aventus as it lacks the pineapple, but it does bear a strong resemblance to Mancera Cedrat Boise: they share bergamot, blackcurrant, fruity notes, patchouli and vanilla, though this one has less body and lasts around 7-8 hours with moderate projection. It’s an excellent fragrance to recall something expensive without breaking the bank, perfect for gifting or smelling good without ‘breaking the piggy bank’.
Noir by Adnan B. arrived via a friend’s recommendation as an alternative to Creed Aventus. Given the price and the suggestion, I bought it, and the first whiff surprised me with its quality, surpassing clones such as Unpredictable Adventure or AB Silver Spirit. Does it resemble Aventus so much? No: it lacks the signature pineapple of Creed. For me, it leans closer to Mancera Cedrat Boise, sharing bergamot, blackcurrant, fruity notes, patchouli and vanilla. It has fewer textures and lower performance than Cedrat Boise. In summary, it smells very good, reminiscent of an expensive fragrance, with decent longevity (over 7-8 hours and moderate projection). Ideal for gifting or smelling good without ‘breaking the piggy bank’.
It’s a wonder, a formidable fragrance. It’s the evolution you’ve been searching for: the black sheep of Creed Aventus or Club de Nuit. It has millimetre-perfect touches of amber, oud, rose, and patchouli that give it that balsamic, powerful evolution. It’s all about amber, smoky, creamy, woody notes and elegance. The oud is very soft, almost creamy, adding immense sensuality, while the rose note lends it class. At first, it resembles the Aventus touch, but that lasts only a few seconds before revealing its true beauty. I don’t know what else to say; I absolutely loved it; it’s exactly what I was looking for. The longevity is the best in my collection, and the aromatic bubble on skin and clothes is brilliant; in fact, the clothes still smell very noticeably. 9.5 out of 10 for longevity, 9.5 recommended, 100% recommended. The Creed DNA is present all day, just like Mugler’s flankers. It’s as if you added tiny specks of patchouli, rose, amber, and oud to Creed Aventus; this gives an opening that might seem like Aventus at first, but within minutes, it reveals its hidden power completely. It’s an EDT that feels like an EDP; its quality is an example that many major brands should follow, as they no longer have any longevity and rely solely on good marketing.
