About Noir de Rose
Noir de Rose by SAHARÉ: A Dark Floral Oriental with a Spicy Heart
SAHARÉ released Noir de Rose in 2025, presenting it as a floral oriental for both men and women. The perfume is built around a contrast that runs through every stage: cool spices at the start, a rich rose at the centre, and a warm, resinous finish.
Saffron and pepper open the composition with a dry and mildly metallic glow. The middle note is rose, full and generous, and the base blends patchouli, labdanum, and vanilla to create a deep, balsamic foundation.
The opening moments of Noir de Rose are immediately distinctive. Saffron delivers that sharp, almost mineral-like warmth, while pepper adds a refreshing jolt. Together they prevent the rose that follows from ever feeling conventional or tame.
When the heart note appears, it is clear that this is not a delicate rendition of rose. The flower feels denser and duskier, as if it has absorbed the spices around it. There is a velvety quality here that is hard to ignore, yet the composition stays dry rather than syrupy.
The base pairs patchouli and labdanum first, creating a texture that is woody and softly resinous. Vanilla joins them slowly, rounding off the edges with a creamy sweetness. The drydown is smooth and comforting, with a faint earthy, balsamic nuance from the labdanum.
The accords listed for the fragrance are warm spicy, vanillic, rose, patchouli, amber, woody, balsamic, metallic, and earthy. Such a wide range makes it feel substantial on the skin and particularly suited to evening wear, though it remains genuinely unisex.
Initial responses are very positive. Although still a new launch, Noir de Rose has received four ratings so far and all of them are the maximum, 5.0 out of 5. We will have to see how it performs over time, but the early signs are strong.
This scent is for people who like their florals with an edge. It will appeal to men and women who enjoy rose combined with saffron and pepper, as well as those attracted to patchouli, labdanum and a soft, creamy vanilla.
Noir de Rose is a careful balancing act: dark enough to feel intriguing, warm enough to be wearable. SAHARÉ has created a rose perfume for evening wear that stands out from the crowd and leaves a lasting impression.
