To me, it opens with a fresh green rose, sweetened by blackcurrant, giving a cheerful feel, perhaps leaning towards the feminine side. It stays like this for almost two hours, after which it fades into something undefined and soapy that I don’t find particularly pleasant. If we take its name as a reference, it would be a date that starts with great excitement but ends in disappointment as you get to know each other.
For me, it opens with a fresh green rose, sweetened by blackcurrant, giving a sense of joy, perhaps with a touch of femininity. It lasts almost two hours like this, then fades into something indefinable and soapy that I don’t like. If we take its name as a reference, it’s like a date that starts with great excitement but ends in disappointment once you get to know it better.
The first thing I felt was the wine, which completely enveloped the fragrance at the start. Then I noticed herbs, wood, and spice. I’m new to fragrances and can’t quite distinguish white flowers, but I realised this perfume was different from everything else. It doesn’t flaunt its femininity; it carries it casually in a bag. It’s my boyfriend’s favourite and he doesn’t like me wearing it unless I’m going out with him. It reminds me of hot, intense nights, from a party to someone’s house, then a walk through a botanical garden at dawn with that person who gives you stomach butterflies. It reminds me of New Year’s parties in the countryside with new people. Simply gorgeous.
At first, it smells of wine, enveloping everything, followed by herbs, wood and spice. I’m new to perfumes and can’t distinguish flowers, but this is different from the rest: it doesn’t presume to be feminine; it wears it casually, like in a handbag. It’s my boyfriend’s favourite and he only uses it when we’re going out together. I imagine a hot, intense night, stepping from party to party, then walking through a botanical garden at dawn with the person who gives you butterflies. It brings back memories of New Year’s parties in the countryside with new people. Simply beautiful.
To be honest, I had high expectations for the Replica line and it turned out good but mediocre. The one I liked most is this; I noticed a lot of wine at the start and according to my friend, it was very strong, but I loved it; I’m thinking of buying it.
These are first impressions with just two sprays on my wrist: The opening is fabulous. Since discovering this forum, I’ve tried not to be so poetic to be objective, but with Replica it’s hard not to set the word peach aside. On a Date transported me to a romantic date with red wine and tender, freshly cut roses, right down to the scent of the stem with slight green touches. I expected to smell cat pee as the reviews say, but I didn’t. After 15 minutes, I noticed that scent, but it lasts a short while; it’s only in the dry-down and isn’t unbearable, perhaps it’s the moss. After a few hours, it leaves a lovely rose with natural grape juice. It’s a precious, beautiful, and original scent. It’s a unique rose in my collection and I’ll wear it when I go out with my husband.
I absolutely love it; it’s my favourite of the moment. I need a litre. It smells completely different and I adore the mousse.
To be honest, I had high expectations as it’s a dupe and found it good but mediocre. This one I really liked; I noticed lots of wine at the start and according to my friend it smells very strong, but I loved it and am already thinking of buying it.
Incredible perfume, very unique and evocative. The only thing missing is more trail and longevity. It achieves that nervousness sensation well with its weight; I didn’t wear it on dates, but rather on late-night work sessions while testing it.
Incredible perfume, very unique and evocative. I miss it and wish it had more sillage and longevity. It captures the feeling of nervousness well with its weight; I didn’t wear it on dates, but rather on late-night work sessions while testing it.
Smells lovely; I understand it starts with a wine note. However, it feels like a common scent. The longevity on my skin left me speechless, and given the price, I wouldn’t buy it unless I found it cheap, just for that wine vibe. If your budget isn’t tight and you come across Natura’s Luna line, the pink ones like Courage… they aren’t the same but they’re in a similar vein and last longer. It’s a more wearable version than Tom Ford. For me, it’s quite sharp and much more expensive. I still can’t recall an olfactory dupe, but it does smell familiar.
This fragrance is tricky. To me, it smells like eucalyptus and honey, just like the horehound cough syrup. In the end, I do like it, but the cough syrup scent won’t leave my head. I’ll keep trying it, but I’m not sure if it actually contains eucalyptus or if it’s just the similarity.
Right, does anyone explain why this smells like eucalyptus or Dr Simi’s cough syrup? It gives me a headache, it doesn’t suit me at all, and it stays exactly the same even after a while. I can’t work out which note that is; can anyone tell me?
