OP-03 Imbuia de Contenção by K-R-V-A is a woody fragrance for women and men, launched in 2026. Perfumer José Zay places imbuia wood at its centre.
The scene is indoors rather than outdoors: aged furniture, an old house, timber shaped by time. It feels measured, dry and intimate.
At the top, saffron meets a varnish accord. The saffron lends a low, warm spiciness, while the varnish suggests a smooth, almost metallic polish, like lovingly waxed wood.
The heart presents blond tobacco, peat and horsehide. The tobacco is pale and dry, the peat contributes cool earth and subdued smoke, and the horsehide adds a sleek animalic tension.
The drydown rests on leather, dry wood, bark and imbuia wood, mellowed by amber. Notes described as antique furniture and old house read as soft dust, gentle gloom and inhabited material.
