A flanker of its sibling Oud Rain. The main difference is that here the oud takes centre stage. The same goes for the mango. Nevertheless, it remains a very pleasant and easy-to-wear oud, even in summer. Although they may seem similar, I personally believe it’s worth buying both.
This is my first Renier perfume and I don’t think it’ll be the last. It’s a sexy scent; I adore that juicy mango note blended with oud and something animal—it’s spectacular. It develops better on skin than on clothes; it’s not linear at all, constantly evolving, which is wonderful. After about forty minutes, a tobacco note emerges in the base, very well blended. The packaging, the artwork Renier puts on each perfume, the bottle and atomiser—this is a benchmark for many houses that charge exorbitant prices just for the name. Congratulations, a magnificent perfume.
There aren’t many reviews for this fragrance yet, but here’s mine: I’m not an expert, just a perfume lover. The moment I heard it, I fell in love and bought it without even testing it on my skin. I didn’t care if it lasted four or eight hours; the scent and composition blew my mind. It reminded me of my childhood in the garden, eating mangoes on a rainy day, feeling the smell of wet earth. I felt nostalgic, but beyond that, it’s a tropical oud that’s quite elegant, something animal yet captivating. The quality of the ingredients is simply 10/10. It’s a unique scent and far superior to other mango-based fragrances currently on the market with all the hype. I find this perfumery house fascinating; they offer distinctive proposals and make you want to try every Renier perfume. I need a backup of three bottles because I feel I’ll be using it a lot. In this, the oud feels more prominent than in the ‘Oud Rain’ version, but both are jewels, definitely worth trying. Scent: 11/10, Sillage: 8.5/10, Longevity: 9/10.
