Picasso from mimicri: A Woody Aromatic Unisex Perfume

Picasso is the latest launch from mimicri, a woody aromatic perfume created for men and women alike. The fragrance is new for 2025 and comes from the nose of Florian Gallo.

It is built on contrasts: a zesty citrus opening, a leafy heart, and a warm, smoky-sweet base that lingers on the skin.

The opening combines petitgrain, bergamot, and neroli. Petitgrain has that bitter, fresh quality of orange leaves; bergamot lifts everything with its citrusy sparkle; and neroli adds a gentle floral softness.

In the middle, myrrh and yerba mate form an unusual duo. Myrrh brings resinous, almost amber-like warmth, while yerba mate gives the fragrance a green, slightly earthy edge that feels very contemporary.

The base is built on cedarwood, vanilla, incense, and suede. Cedarwood anchors the blend, vanilla brings a comforting sweetness, incense adds an airy, reflective quality, and suede provides a smooth, tactile finish.

The main accords are aromatic, amber, green, and spicy, with sweet and balsamic shadings. The overall impression is elegant, modern, and genuinely unisex rather than merely marketed that way.

Picasso works well for both daytime and evening wear. It has moderate sillage, so it never feels overpowering, but it leaves a soft, warm trail that draws people in.

Those who enjoy woody aromatic fragrances with a bright citrus start, a green heart, and a cosy resinous base will find Picasso particularly appealing.

Picasso is a compelling new chapter for mimicri. It is balanced, versatile, and shows Florian Gallo’s ability to create refined perfumes that feel both original and wearable.
