The opening didn’t work for me; it’s an extremely artificial rose, and the dry-down is just as bad, leaving a sharp alcoholic note. I don’t find it feminine or pleasant, but given it’s ultra-cheap, it might be worth mixing. It leaves a strong trail, but I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday wear.

Pink Velvet remains the most horrible fragrance I’ve ever tried. It smells like rotting flowers in a vase with murky, stagnant water—a funeral scent. Filthy and dreadful. It’s not the darkness of a delicious perfume; it’s absolute rubbish. I don’t like speaking this way, but I want to stop you from wasting your money. Buy something else.

I agree with the previous review. I’ve never tried a perfume so ugly. Rotten roses with the stem and all. Horrible.

  • Don’t buy it blindly: it’s a very spiced, sweet rose with lots of character and very unisex. The patchouli and tonka bean are intense, and the vanilla accentuates them, ending in something soapy, talc-like and sharp that’s hard to understand at first. I love roses, but I look for fresh, floral and sweet ones (like Miss Dior or Lush), very feminine; this is not. It’s an autumn/winter scent, very strong. I made the mistake of smelling it in summer and hated it; in the cold, I liked it. At first it’s annoying because it’s so versatile and unstructured, neither very feminine nor masculine, hard to like. SUMMARY: Excessively spiced, soapy and talc-like rose, very intense. Not a conventional rose, unusual, but it can be liked (5/10). Ideal for cold months. Lasts 8 hours (8/10) and leaves a heavy trail (8/10). Very unisex, not 100% feminine. I’m not sure I’d buy it again because it’s so concentrated, unlikely to finish quickly. If you don’t like sharp scents, don’t buy it.

  • It’s a wonder and totally unisex. Although the star is the rose, it’s accompanied by saffron, patchouli and exquisite vanilla. Highly recommended.

  • I can’t recall any negative reviews. It smells lovely, with no dead flower or fake rose notes. It’s a sweet rose, talc-like and spiced. If it’s true that you shouldn’t buy it blindly, it’s a distinctive scent, and that doesn’t take anything away. If you like roses, soapy, talc-like scents, this is a great option.

  • I can’t recall the bad reviews. It smells lovely, with no hint of dead flowers or fake rose. It’s a sweet, talc-laced rose with spicy undertones. If it’s true that you shouldn’t buy it blindly, it’s just a particular and distinct scent, which doesn’t take anything away from it. If you enjoy roses, a soapy, talc-like fragrance, it’s a great option.
