The notes on Fragrantica are wrong. According to Zara, they are rose, plumeria, and gourmand notes. In reality, it is very floral, smelling of fresh, green, and powdery rose, with a floral sweetness from the plumeria (frangipani). I also smell a subtle hint of coconut in the base. At first, it reminds me of biscuits, but that disappears quickly; it’s the only gourmand note I detect. It has moderate sillage and lasts 4-5 hours on my skin. It is simple, spring-like, and pleasant in the heat, but nothing more. It could serve for summer mornings or after the gym, but it isn’t very elegant. Scent 6/10, Longevity 4.5/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 6.5/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
I picked it up when I saw it on offer on the Zara website. I own some of their perfumes that have worked well, others that went unnoticed, and some I simply don’t like. Simply put, it’s not my olfactory style; it doesn’t appeal to me, I wouldn’t choose to wear it, and it doesn’t make me feel good. I don’t feel that wow quality, it doesn’t last or project much, and it smells a bit synthetic. I think you could save yourself the cost.
Does Zara know how to make good perfumes without copying? Yes! Queen Plumrose is proof. It smells of fresh, intense rose, with beastly projection and longevity. The only flaw is that it was only available for one season and has already been discontinued. I trusted it would last longer, but it sold out and they haven’t brought it back. What a shame. If you can get your hands on it, don’t hesitate and buy it.
