  • American designer youth colognes tend to resemble each other quite a bit. Fresh, fruity, and slightly acidic at the opening, but the freshness fades quickly and leaves a strange smell as it dries down; I think the musk is superfluous and it lacks longevity in the citrus acidity. It certainly won’t be your favourite apple cologne. As a nostalgic for the 90s, I had to have it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Kafaparro

This perfume is identical. The clone of Latin Attitude by Avon… I’m amazed. I saw it here and today I went to check and it’s the same. Fresh, sparkling, and fresh fruit, nothing overpowering. It’s one of those that fills you with energy.

  • Miriam Huerta

It’s fresh, a soft and pleasant floral-fruit, however on my skin it lasts very little, I can barely detect it for a maximum of an hour. I’ve even applied it on other people and they have the same minimum performance and sillage; I wouldn’t buy it again for that reason, it’s too expensive for what this fragrance offers.

  • Polytheneval

I think it’s a very rich, fresh, youthful, and very safe fragrance, the latter in the best sense of the word. I don’t know if it’s just in my country, but it’s always very expensive. There are many good alternatives at better prices. There are shower gels that smell exactly the same. It’s well known.

  • Caro.nutri

Ralph and Cool Water were my high school student perfumes with the scent of a white shirt, a jumper, and freshly polished shoes; they bring back such lovely memories.

  • It’s an excellent fragrance for warm weather, one of those that gives you energy. Fresh and citrusy. If you want something cheaper that smells the same, I recommend Latin Attitude by Avon. In my opinion, Pitanga Preta by Natura doesn’t resemble this at all; it’s sweeter.

  • The fruit juice cologne that ruled the 2000s. It refreshes and cheers you up the moment you put it on, like drinking a Coca-Cola or orange juice in the middle of summer. The secret is osmanthus, that Japanese plant which smells of pleasant, sweetened fruit (it’s also in Sunflowers or Flora) and reminds you of apricot jam. It evokes summer, the pool, the beach, fruit polos, and lots of enjoyment, even though its formula works all year round. Its diffuse equilibrium between flowers and fruits has been imitated a thousand times. ‘Blue Cologne’ was a milestone in perfumery that captivated millions of teenagers and will remain a model of powerful, smiling fruit cologne.

  • I used to wear it at school and bought it again out of nostalgia. I still think it smells delicious, spring-summer, fresh, sweet but not overpowering, a lovely scent.

  • Conchinavajas

Oh, it’s absolutely overhyped and it’s a classic, sure, nothing new there. BUT I still absolutely love it and wearing it always puts me in a good mood. I keep it in my collection for the seasons… when I feel like using it, a bottle lasts a month, and then suddenly I forget about it until years later when I see it again and… ❤️ …just like summer romances, you only remember them in the summer, but how beautiful they are, aren’t they? That’s exactly this perfume, just like that!

“What a beautiful perfume.” It’s a fresh fruity scent, nothing common, in the truest Ralph style. I used it years ago and still long for it; I wore it and felt proud to have it on. It was my first discovery of fruity perfumes, which I adore. I would love to have it again; it’s unforgettable to me.

  • It’s curious: as many people associate this scent with their teenage years, I didn’t start using it until adulthood. I must say the aroma has earned me many compliments, especially from men. It seems to be a scent that is widely liked, and you might not even notice it yourself after a few hours. It’s very refreshing and ideal for hot weather. I love it because I generally enjoy anything with apple, though it’s not a very complex scent where other notes stand out to my nose.

  • Fresh, clean, pleasant, and slightly sweet. It’s excellent and very well balanced. Simply beautiful for summer.

  • Rivieraparaiso

One of my favourites. Until last year, it was among the ones I enjoyed using the most (all this before I fully immersed myself in the world of perfumes). I wore it for years, but unfortunately, I believe there was a change in the formula: now it lasts even less than it did before. Previously, it managed well for 6–8 hours, but now I think it barely lasts 2–3 hours. Nevertheless, it’s a scent I enjoy greatly. I’m keeping an eye out for similar recommendations, preferably with better projection and sillage.

  • Kathy Martín

A rich scent of youth. I used to wear it a lot when I was young and recently bought it again; I don’t like it quite as much as before, but it’s lovely for teenagers. My husband loves it and it smells clean and summery. At least in Chile, it’s not as common to smell anymore.

  • Elizabethshelby

It’s one of the few fragrances I tolerate in summer. It smells very fruity and refreshing, though still slightly sweet. When I first got it a couple of years ago, it didn’t impress me much, but now I love it. I wear it for the gym or every day; it’s not overwhelming and looks great after a shower. If you’re looking for a summer perfume without coconut, bronzer, or pure citrus notes, this is perfect. Although it came out years ago, it still smells very current to me. It smells like fruity shampoo and I adore it.

One of the fragrances I will always repurchase. The memories it evokes make me buy it every two or three months; as soon as I finish a bottle (which I usually find on offer), I start another shortly after. It reminds me of when I was a child and used my older sister’s perfume; it’s impossible not to feel affection and nostalgia for it. As I grew up, I couldn’t help but steal it, even though it was her personal scent. It smells of crisp green apple—super fresh, juicy, and sweet, like an orange and apple ice lolly in the middle of summer. It’s a refreshing juice that holds up well and isn’t heavy even on the hottest days. Whenever I wear it in summer, I feel fresh with a clean, sweet scent that puts me in a good mood. I have nothing negative to say, including about longevity, as it lasts quite well on the skin. My sister and I experience the same thing; it easily lasts 6 to 8 hours. ‘The Blue Ralph for girls’ (that’s how people asked for it when I worked in perfumery) still has its place and will remain so for a long time; it never fails.

  • Sweet and fresh, very similar to Natura’s Pitanga Preta. Since I tried it, I’ve loved it and repurchased it years ago. The aroma is addictive, fruity, and clean—highly recommended for summer. It’s not cloying or overpowering, yet never boring. It’s my favourite alongside Light Blue for these dates.

  • I recommend this for any age, occasion, or season. It is one of the best value-for-money options you can find. Its sweet and fresh scent is very elegant and easy to enjoy.

  • I had it in my adolescence, but one day it bored me and I’ll gift it 😔. It was a fresh scent with a sweet touch. Nowadays I’d like to have that small bottle again, to smell that freshness again.

  • Coni Macarena Miel

Love and hate in a fragrance. I think although it’s ‘fresh’, on my skin it works better in autumn or at most in spring; in summer it becomes heavy on me. It’s true I’d gift it blindly, it’s lovely, but not on me, hehe. The best is its projection, so if you want one that smells like summer but insist on using it on other dates and doesn’t overpower, this is 🙌🏻✨️ December 2025 and already knowing more scents, it’s the green apple that makes this aroma so weird, I never quite close on the green apple note…

  • It seems super fruity and youthful. At first, it smells like ripe pineapple, perfect for the day, especially in the heat. It’s not overpowering, a big plus. However, on my skin it doesn’t have good longevity, which is a pity. Despite this, it’s a good perfume, although it’s not novel and you probably won’t receive many compliments. It’s more for feeling comfortable.

Does anyone remember an Argentine millennial? In the 90s, Sedal shampoo was good, not like now. It came in art deco bottles with rainbow caps. The Sedal ‘Free’ was the only translucent one, made of frosted plastic with a magenta pink cap, marketed for oily hair without conditioner. The rest had rinse cream. The liquid was transparent and pink, unlike the opaque and pearlescent ones in the line. The Sedal Free perfume was identical to Ralph. We’re talking mid-90s, from 1992. Perhaps around 1999 or 2000 other designs appeared and that barbie-esque ‘Free’ was discontinued. It was my favourite to wash my hair in summer, and since then I’ve lost its trace. As an adult, in 2014, returning from work, I found a whole bottle of violet liquid lying on the pavement. I picked it up: it was the ‘Pitanga Preta’ by Natura. I tried it and oh miracle!, it was identical to the Sedal Free. I didn’t delay in getting a bottle. For me, it was a storm of nostalgia, going back 20 years. As a man, I used caution, especially on the head, to remember old times and feel like a boy just out of the pool in summer. Then, reading about the Pitanga Preta and this forum, I found the name of the ‘original’ that mimics it almost perfectly, as if they had stolen the formula from Ralph. It strikes me that this composition existed before: olfactory memory doesn’t fail, it’s the same Sedal Free of the 90s. I wonder if Ralph isn’t the original either, if there was a designer perfume before with this formula that was discarded for a shampoo and then the perfumer revived that composition (didn’t invent it) and elevated it to EDT for a design brand. The performance is notable, it seems made to measure for shampoo performance. In short, it’s immensely fresh, feminine but not obvious, almost asexual, elevated and sharp, well-blended to note a concept beyond each note. A unique, original, and memorable fragrance.

  • It smells super clean, fresh, and with a sweet fruity touch, reminding me of a nice shampoo. It has about 5 hours of good longevity and then another 4 close to the skin. I think it’s a bit pricey for what it is, but if you want to keep it for the collection, go ahead; it’s delicious.

  • I’m looking for this because of the Pitanga Preta by Natura, a scent so purple, fresh, and cheerful that I’d love to have it in EDP version and last longer. Many say it’s the dupe of Ralph, but I see they match in almost nothing. Does anyone who has tried both know if they can tell me? I feel the Ralph doesn’t replicate that purple of the Pitanga in its opening. As I haven’t tried it, I don’t know.

  • I forgot it existed until I found it and bought it. It’s not fresh, but sweet and fruity with a clean, playful touch. Used to vanilla, patchouli, and the multiple dupes of Bacarat, this little Ralph is a carefree proposal that I adore.

  • It’s not what attracts me now, but I sought it because it’s super millennial. Just like its HOT version, it brings a myriad of happy memories. I love it because it’s a time machine.

  • Kathy Martín

It brings back precious memories; my boyfriend gifted it to me when I was 17. It evokes summer and that youth filled with wonderful teenage moments. I bought it again two years ago; I don’t wear it daily, but when I go to the pool, mixed with the water, it turns my head. With many more years, my boyfriend loves it when I wear it; it brings him memories of the beginning of our relationship ❤️

  • madeinfrance

Super feminine, fruity, and sweet fragrance. It’s linear and versatile for any occasion. Ideal for spring/summer as I find it refreshing. I get the same scent from Rexona Tropical deodorant, haha. I love it for its price and quality; I recommend it 100%. For an EDT, it lasts a long time! I think anyone would like this scent. Recommended as a gift or a blind buy.

  • I like it; I find it lovely and quite original, but there’s a note I can’t identify that gives it a herbal touch I absolutely dislike. It’s not bad, but I prefer the freshness of Ekos Pitanga Preta from Natura. They are similar, but the Natura one feels nicer and is considerably more affordable.

  • cuarentaydos

It was my favourite perfume for several years until they changed the formula, and now it doesn’t last at all :'(. Literally, I would have worn it for my entire life if it still had the same trail and longevity. People always envied it.

  • Laura Guerra

I’ve owned this perfume twice and I love it so much!! Super fresh, floral, fruity, summery, and youthful; it truly lifts my spirits. I would buy it a third time without hesitation.

  • oliendobonito

It’s an aquatic floral. If you love refreshing scents with a clean, fresh vibe, this is for you. You’ll absolutely adore it. Perfect for summer. It lasts no more than six hours on clothes and has moderate projection. If you enjoy yellow freesia, magnolia, and apple with a touch of mandarin, this is your perfume; those are the most prominent notes. A great option for those unbearable heatwaves. You’ll feel freshly showered.

  • Sugardewnoir

I’m a millennial and this was my perfume throughout my teenage years; almost all of us in the 2000s wore it and it was hugely famous. At 18 I started dating my husband, who used Ralph, and at 35 he still buys me this every summer because it reminds him of me. It’s super fresh; you put it on and smell clean, as if you’ve just stepped out of the shower. I absolutely love the feeling in summer; it’s the best for cooling down under the infernal heat. Sparkling, it smells clean, rich, fruity, and aquatic. I still haven’t found anything that comes close to this sensation.

  • Ralph screams youth, freshness, and joy. It evokes sunny days and positive energy. The opening is sparkling and juicy with tangerine and green apple, fresh and fun. The floral heart maintains the lightness with crisp freesia and magnolia, weightless and dust-free. The dry-down is soft with a light musk and white iris, close to the skin like a clean veil. Perfect for a casual, cheerful, and versatile fragrance. It’s not complex, but that’s its charm: fresh, optimistic, and easy to wear.

  • Sorry, Aquatic. It has a lovely fruity-floral opening, sweetened beautifully by the green apple, but over time on my skin it smells of cucumber and settles into a true aquatic scent. Ideal for high summer; it’s very refreshing.

  • Perla Vencis

Although it has been on the market for 25 years, I bought it recently blind and it reminded me of the classroom from my youth—an unmistakable scent worn by several girls back then. On my skin, the fruity phase is very prominent, with lots of sweet apple and mandarin that overshadow the flowers. It’s a cheerful aroma for spring and summer. I liked it, but it’s not something I’ll use frequently.

  • Wlad Molina

Floral freshness with a youthful class: the opening is a sparkling, luminous citrus-floral blend, perfect for spring and summer. It evolves into brown boronia, adding a watery, spicy nuance that prevents it from being flat, paired with a transparent, delicate white iris that isn’t powdery. It conveys joy, casual elegance, and a light, versatile girly vibe for warm weather without being cloying. My rating: 9/10. A fresh, floral fragrance with class for stylish everyday wear.
