I love it. I only detect the pipe tobacco aroma, which is what fascinates me most. It seems like a very virile fragrance and I find it enchanting. I’ve already bought the perfume oil for bedtime; it relaxes me, it’s comforting and cosy. I’m not ruling out buying the perfume water too, for staying at home with a cup of tea.
You’re right, I didn’t like it. That pepper note overwhelmed me; it felt heavy and murky, and combined with the tobacco, which I also don’t enjoy, it was a mistake. They say it’s unisex, but I’d stick with the original Eau Parfum.
Today I tried the body spray and I’m still undecided. The scent is very soft, skin-close, perfect for personal enjoyment or for intimate sharing when someone leans in to smell our skin. It’s not intrusive upon application. On my skin, it blended in and started to develop after half an hour, very subtly. It smells of fresh, powdery tobacco leaf with a scent of shaving soaps. I’m convinced it contains iris; every time I bring my wrist to my nose, it clearly evokes Infusion d’Homme. I detect the same powdery, unisex iris air. After five hours it’s almost gone, leaving a faint trail of musk and a hint of tobacco spice. Red Musk doesn’t seem sexy or original to me, but it’s pleasant and inoffensive, and no one but you will notice it. If you like Infusion d’Homme, you’ll enjoy Red Musk.
By now in 2021 it’s hard to find, but I managed to get the EDP version last year at a good price. I absolutely love it. Yes, it opens with a touch of cinnamon and pepper, but soon the slightly powdery pipe tobacco note emerges, thanks to the musk. The scent is relaxing and comforting for before bed, though I can also imagine it being perfect for a romantic dinner.

It smells relaxing and comforting, ideal for before bed, though I can also see myself wearing it to a romantic dinner.
