It sets a bold rose against black cherry and almond, then lets vanilla, leather and labdanum bring a smooth, ambery depth.
It opens with black cherry, blackcurrant and almond. The dark berries feel ripe and slightly sharp, rounded by a soft, nutty almond facet.
The heart favours rose, supported by iris and patchouli. Powdery iris lends polish while patchouli adds an earthy, woody undercurrent to the petals.
In the base, vanilla meets leather and labdanum. The result is warm and resinous, with woody character and a whisper of animalic leather.
The balance is deliberately tense: sweet fruit beside dry matter, favourite florals given a rebellious finish. Elegant yet unmistakably nocturnal.
