This fragrance is quite arresting: it opens with fresh, soapy aldehydes before quickly yielding to a floral sweetness dominated by heliotrope and violet. That dusty, dry sweetness reminiscent of iris persists for almost the entire life of the scent, which is truly the star. It is not overly sweet or floral; the powder is tempered by pepper and woods, with an earthy touch of patchouli and vetiver. As it dries down close to the skin, a hint of ambroxan and musk appears, giving it airiness, while the final sweetness comes from vanilla and benzoin, evolving so smoothly you hardly notice it. RDHP15 is beautiful and comforting, ideal for cold climates, lasting over 10 hours. If you are a fan of Dior Homme, Dior Homme Intense, or Rochas Man, this will be your holy grail!

In the dry-down, smelling close to the skin, you note some ambroxan and musk that gives it airiness; in this stage, the sweetness comes from vanilla and benzoin, but the evolution is very smooth, almost imperceptible. RDHP15 is beautiful and comforting, perfect for cold climates, lasting over 10 hours with good projection. If you are a fan of Dior Homme, Dior Homme Intense, or Rochas Man, this will be your holy grail!

🎶 I’m gonna swing… from the chandelier… 🎶 Roja celebrates 15 years of its boutique on the sixth floor of Harrods with this launch. A perfumery temple full of exclusives (LuckyScent is another, but with a different focus to Harrods’ luxury). The purple plaque with gold details on the bottle pays homage to the crystal chandeliers of the venue. 🎶 One, two, three… drink 🎶 ➡️ RDHP 15th Anniversary: starts with juicy citrus and joins the party with a fruity note (peach), slightly powdery (iris root). Everything is very soft and refined. Even before drying, it has a place in my niche drawer. As it dries, the citrus fades and reveals the base: tonka, vanilla, synthetic musk, synthetic civet, ginger, ladanum, balsam, and iris root. To put it simply, it is a blend between ‘Chypre Extraordinaire’ (an unpowdered Diaghilev, less potent and more refined, fresh) and ‘Haute Luxe’. Performance is good to modest. Highly versatile and unisex. It annoys me that they offer ‘new perfumes’ that are blends of others. I didn’t expect much (like the mediocre ‘Oceania’ and ‘Elysium’ from the same house), but I had to smell it due to positive comments. I was wrong; it is simply delicious. I didn’t expect it and it has climbed into my top 5 of Roja; several who know the brand were surprised when I shared it in groups. Price? US$680 for 100ml (€580/£495). Considering the Pour Homme line is around US$500 for 50ml, this offers better value as it is exclusive and 100ml. If you want to try this jewel, sample it a couple of times with the 7.5ml travel spray and then say goodbye to continue your journey. I did so and couldn’t say goodbye; I want more. 10/10 ✨
