There are trends that take hold when a scent becomes fashionable, and suddenly many similar ones appear. Some time ago, Tom Ford launched ‘Tuscan Leather’ in its Private Blend line, and it was such a success that it remains so, leading many fragrances to copy that style. This is the case with Royal Leather: a pleasant fragrance that mimics Tuscan Leather, with that very spiced fruity note and a smoky leather dry-down. If you haven’t heard of Tuscan Leather before, this might seem like a high-quality option, but it isn’t; it resembles it so closely that it sounds more like an imitation, lacking the identity to be valued as something unique and original.
