Created by perfumer Park Seung-gyu, Saebyeok (새벽) is The Eighth Room's 2026 Green Aromatic offering for women and men.
Taking its name from the Korean word for dawn, it traces a path from fresh foliage at first light to coniferous shadow, closing on a muted, tidy warmth.
Up top, tangerine orange meets green leaves and pink pepper. The tangerine brightens the first impression, the leafy accord feels cool and slightly damp, and pink pepper contributes gentle piquancy.
At the centre, pine, moss, galbanum and lily of the valley take over. Pine supplies resin and aromatic lift, galbanum lends a sharper, sappy greenness, while moss underlines the blend with an earthy, shaded quality.
The lily of the valley element adds a diaphanous white-floral softness rather than overt sweetness, easing the transition from bracing green to the foundation.
That foundation combines ambergris, Clearwood and white musk. The ambergris note offers saline, balsamic roundness, Clearwood provides a sleek, dry timber structure, and white musk keeps the trail airy and smooth.
In character the perfume is green, woody, musky and aromatic, touched by citrus, moss, amber, balsam, delicate spice and white flowers. It reads as a gradual dimming of light, from morning clarity to woodland stillness.
