  It is, without a doubt, one of the best sandalwood perfumes I have ever smelled. It has a fresh citrus note and a subtle sweetness that envelops the wood; I loved it. I would define it as the freshest, most sophisticated, and sensual wood I can remember. It is versatile for any occasion, easy to like, and of great quality. Its only drawback is that, to make it last and project, you have to apply a lot, and even then, it doesn’t last long. With that high price, it is probably too expensive for many. It is the common problem with naturals: if you can afford it, it is positive because you can use a different perfume hours later and still enjoy that great olfactory experience in the first 30-60 minutes.

  I stumbled upon the house through Khaan and, upon verifying the quality of the raw materials, decided to try Santal Segar for its focus on sandalwood. Although that note is a fetish for many and not for me, here you simply have to enjoy that rich wood and its accompaniment. It is totally different from other sandalwoods on the market; it is the perfect one to show you what real natural wood is, without molecules like Sandalore that cannot match it. The flowers, starting with roses and then those ‘summer flowers’, along with amber and a very subtle touch of vanilla, remind me a bit of Ylang Ylang. That vanilla is light, giving a creamy nuance typical of the wood, nothing of those excessive lactonic or balsamic notes they usually use. The result is fresh, clean, and warm at the same time, offering comfort and tranquillity. For me, without a doubt, the best sandalwood that exists. A marvel.
