Opus Vanilla review: It opens with a stunning blend of cupcakes and almonds. By 4 minutes, the cupcake scent is so intense I almost want to rip my arm off. What an incredible perfume. At 13 minutes, nutmeg kicks in; it tickles the nose slightly but adds a wonderful touch to those cupcakes. By 29 minutes, the musk emerges; it also smells a bit of anise, even though it’s not listed. The projection is immense and the trail is beastly; you’ll definitely be noticed wherever you go. After an hour, the cupcake accord becomes subtle, with almond and nutmeg in the background, all wrapped in vanilla. At 1 hour 16 minutes, I detect powdery notes alongside almond, nutmeg and vanilla; the cupcake has vanished. This perfume is only for those who love intense scents, as it has a huge trail. After two hours, I only notice almond with vanilla, and the scent no longer evolves. By 3 hours 16 minutes, the intensity starts to fade. At 8 hours 5 minutes, it’s almost undetectable on my skin. Without a doubt, it’s an incredible, high-quality perfume that you must own.
