  If you look closely, for 210 euros on 30 ml you’re not just buying a scent, but a work of art. It’s not something to use and throw away, but rather to evoke sensations that only the nose can catch, stirring deep emotions. It’s not for everyone, but for those who live for perfume and personalise it. Trying to analyse its notes seems pointless; they don’t even appear on Fragrantica. What matters is why I bought it, especially since at first I thought it was madness. In reality, it smells like having a piece of the Narnia or Harry Potter forest in the bottle. Upon smelling it, I was transported to that magical mountain with tall trees blocking the light, moss and lichen-covered ground, and a dense morning mist. Over time, the scent opens up as if someone were digging into that moss, revealing earth, old pine woods, and damp roots from the rain. It lasts over eight hours without issue and projects clearly for two hours. Perhaps they won’t compliment you, but if they know you well, they’ll say you smell peculiar. There’s a Pineward fragrance called Oxylus that’s similar, but with more light and a stream; Fragrantica doesn’t list it. It’s worth the price, though whether you’re quite mad enough to pay for it is another matter.
